View Full Version : WTF is wrong with WalMart people?

I know I said I'd stop doing this but I had to vent... and make fun of.

I go to Wally world last night to do some xmas shopping and get a script filled.
The women employees are ok. Most of them dress like it's 1985 but hey what the hell. The guys must have their manhood in question because they work there. These guys look like extras from a B grade prison movie. Shirt sleeves rolled up to reveal a home made tattoo. Slicked back hair and scruffy beards. Chests poked out like a high school fight. Ear rings and Marilin Manson and eminem t shirts tucked under those cute little vests.

:"Hey can you give me a hand with this?"
:"Sure Bro, Lemme git dat for you" *grunt huff snort*

"Do you guys carry mouth guards?"
"yeah I think so, what do you need it for?"
"My mouth?"
"haha yo dog you clownin me?"

and now for the customers..............

Pharmacy..... **** me!!
standing in line behind all the blue hairs, every one of them has a question about their drugs. They all have a hair cut that lets you know they have a dog at home with the same style and probably color too.
The men standing there with them, all with that "why won't I just die" look in their eyes.
People stopping in the middle of the isles, blocking the lane with the cart while they decide on tide with or without bleach.
The guy in electronics wanting to know if a TV will fit in his living room.
"How much space do you have for a TV sir?"
"I dunno, bout this much" *holds out hands*

The guy blocking the sporting goods isle so he can go through the 5 for a dollar fishing lures. GRAB a ****in handful and move on chubby!!!!!!!!!!!!!.

I won't even start about the ****s talking on the phones or the damn kids running around like they just ate a 5 lbs bag of sugar. The "**** bin laden" t shirts or the 300 lbs chick looking at the trim spa box.

Tis the season to make money. Dancing Santa rapping to Christmas tunes, inflatable snowmen, mechanical deer and the ever popular 8 foot bear in a Santa suit that made every woman that passed go AWWWWWWWWWWW.

God why must we go through this every year? I'd much rather have a coworker or family member just come up, shake my hand or give a hug and say "hey we appreciate what you do"..... Not "here's some cologne we got you"

Anyway, to all of you who shop online I salute you. You're the smart ones. You got this **** beat and for that I admire you.

Now if you'll excuse me, I have to go look at some f*ckin xmas lights at the park.

back to the topic though. no joke curly, everytime i go to walmart i play a game i created called Children, Old People, Foreigners.

the rules are simple: me and whoever i'm with will bet on which group will piss me off in more incidents. usually children win because parents are stupid and misread the word "WALMART" for "FREE DAY CARE CENTER". however, old people have made some suprise last-minute victories in the parking lot (for obvious reasons) as i'm trying to leave. foreigners gain points simply by standing in the middle of isles, looking droned, and not realizing/caring that they're blocking the path.

Lots of interesting people working and shopping at Wal-Mart. I worked there for 2+years, and you've gotta serve the nastiest people you ever heard of or dreamed about. When I almost got in a fist fight in the middle of the electronics dept was when I knew it was time to quit.

That excatly how Wendys was. People think just because you are an employee of the store they are shopping at, they can treat you like crap.

The nice thing about being a stay at home mom is that I can go to Walmart at the slowest time of the day. :-)

I had a run-in at walmart 3 years ago with a big fat black mama who had an attitude problem. My girl wont let me xmas shop anymore since that day. all online and last minute alone shopping for her, otherwise she goes to get it. It worked out kinda good that way actually lol

and the reason they do that is because, for the time being, you're the representative of all the bull**** that you're company has fed consumers. walmart, wendy's, new century mortgage, whatever. we work/ed for companies that have multi-million $$ advertising campaigns that prep the consumer on how much we will pamper them.

the ads acomplish their goal of getting that person's foot in the door, or getting that phone to ring BUT....it's at the expense of giving them an illusion that we are employee SERVANTS, and not people. so naturally shoppers are going to ride all over that because the vast majority of consumers have a very empty outlook on the inside of their meaningless lives and a cashier/sales rep gives them a means to vent their illusioned self-sense of control and authority that they are so desperately trying to recapture. to top it all off, they get the falsified & illusional self-righteousness that's felt when one pays someone else $$$ for a good or service:

"i gave you THIS, so i expect THAT."

too many people let money & purchasing power cloud out the very common ways of living that we must all still adhere to. and that is simply treating others how we, ourselves would like to be treated.

I work for the company but only a retard would actually think I had anything to do with the **** you are talking about. In your line of work, thats a different story, but a college student working at a coffee shop or a teenager working at a fast food place has NOTHING to do with the reason you came in there. Its not there fault the prices went up or they dont carry that sandwhich you love so much anymore.

Also, it wouldn't bother me so much if people were actually mad about what they said they were mad about. What they are mad about is that they had trouble at thier job earlier, or thier wife left them, or they got told they had ****ty credit.

They look at me like a dog to be kicked. It just proves your point that people are ****. In a strange way, we agree for once.

exactly. like i said though, our companies feed this illusion to people. i never said that YOU draw the customers in. i said that the marketing draws em in. you just DEAL with em.

Excatly. However, I shouldn't have too. I mean, all of you are people too. I am sure there is at least one person in here that gave shti to someone on the phone, or someone at a drive-thru. Some people more than others.

not unless they disrespected me first. and making an occassional mistake or not knowing the company policy on everything is not disrespect. most of the time, i'm the first to say "have a nice day" to a cashier before they have a chance to say it to me.

Like I said, the rude people are rude because of things that happens outside of the restaurant or store. Not inside it. Honestly, people could careless about not getting extra pickles.

You are a man that fairly happy with your life, so you don't act like an *******. Its the people that are alone and miserable, those are the ****ers that take it out on you. Yeah buddy, I know you are pissed your wife left you, but don't lay your problems on me.
