I would say it's gotten better. Good releases and good commericial success from Wayne, Game, Nas, Ross, Snoop etc. from 2008.

And this year has seen the return of Em with a solid album. We've also seen Mos Def come back with a vengeance.

Ross dropped a good album to ride to, Jim Jones album was decent. Cam'ron dropped a subpar album but it's good to hear from guys who have been gone.

Red and Meth dropped a decent album. So things are looking nice. Jay will drop maybe we get another Game and Nas album.
