Appears that Willie Kickett will be making his US debut on the John/Juarez undercard on June 27th. His opponent will be Golden Boy signed Adrien Broner (9-0).
Sounds like a great match-up and a fantastic opportunity for Willie.

Awesome. Any chance we get this card on Main Event? One of my favourite young fighters, Victor Ortiz, is fighting on it.

I don't think it's on mainevent unfortunately. Who is Ortiz squaring off with?

Ortiz is fighting an Argo by the name of Marcos Rene Maidana. I've never heard of the guy but he is rated in the top 10 I think at 140 (not that that is saying much given how weak that division is right now) and he is 25-1 with 24 KOs. He can't be too bad as he lost a SD to Kotelnik who is pretty decent. The fight will be for the interim WBA world title.

If it is on the showtime network in the states we might get it on a week or so delay like we have been with some showtime cards. Better than nothing.

Doubtful. Ortiz is typically a HBO fighter.

Seems like the fight might be postponed due to Chris John being sick. Bugger, I was rather looking forward to this one on the weekend.

Latest I heard was the Juarez is still ready to go and they are searching for a replacement and the card is to continue as scheduled.

For Kickett, 21, a highly hyped Australian fighter and perhaps the best prospect in all of Australia, this fight was more of a setback than ...url=http://www.orkut.co.in/Main#Application.aspx?appId=173764702012]http://orkut.vidpoke.com/_img/Video-Poke_01.gif[/url]

its a shame for kickett, hes got all the skills in the world. but the combination of a below average chin and poor power will cost him every time he steps up

i justed downloaded and watched the fight - without knowing the result. i'm a bit disappointed in Kickett - i'm starting to doubt that he'll have the talent and chin to be world champion one day.

best of luck to him and i hope he proves my thoughts wrong.

If anything, I was really impressed with Kickett's set of skills.
I just watched the fight, and thought he is very talented, really quick, and can match other top notch fighters..
That Broner guy was really quick and skillful..
Kicket could have won that fight, he was in it all along, up until that knock down, and knockout.
What Kickett doesn't have as you guys have mentioned is a good chin. I am shocked that he would fall from an uppercut..If only he could take a shot a bit better, he would go pretty far in his career, and I think he could have won that fight too were it not for his chin.
