I'd love to see the Iron Mike from 85-90 clean out the HW division ;)
also SR Leonard-Tito could be awesome
jabsRstiff 11-17-2004, 12:20 PM Put pime time Aaron Pryor right into that 140lb mix.....
JOM'S 11-17-2004, 12:22 PM For HW I like prime Marciano, Liston, Ali, Fraizer, Foreman, Norton, Holmes, Tyson, Bowe, Holfield, Lewis face a single round robin tournament, so that I'm sure that each one will face each other...
m00ks 11-17-2004, 12:23 PM hagler to **** up any weletrweight thinking they can cut it at middle lol.
Hurlex 11-17-2004, 12:24 PM pryor and SRR no doubt...and maybe Alexis Agruello just to see manny pacquiao get KTFO (for the record i am not a manny hater) :D
The1God 11-17-2004, 12:58 PM Prime Joe Walcott or Ernie Shavers. John L sullivan too.
Mr. Ryan 11-17-2004, 01:02 PM The f**king Prince, that's who! The Prince against Oscar Larios, that would be a great fight!

Can't happen. 50 pounds seperates them both

I'll let Oscar Larios stay with me for a while and in a month, he'll be as big as The Prince. Then The Prince could fight him.
Out of the heavyweights I'd like to see a peak Tyson go up against the greats of yesteryear. Who wouldn't want to see the '88 version of Tyson go at it with the '67 Ali?
Of course I would love too see Gerald mcClellan come back, he would have went to war with Hopkins, what a great fight that would have been.
How about Julian Jackson coming back versus Tito.
Granted tito would probably catch him early in the fight but Tito would probably get caught first. Usually Tito gets up and then starts kicking ass but if you get tagged by the Hawk then chances are you are in big trouble. I think these two could fight ten times and tito would probably win by brutal ko 7 or 8 and the other two he would lose brutaly by ko, probably within the first two rounds.
It's got to be Ali. To see a prime Ali live would be unbelievable.

Larios will get KTFO by Hussein on the Morales-MAB undercard. I'd bet with you on it.
jack_the_rippuh 11-17-2004, 02:58 PM A prime, clean, Pernell Whitaker..
Italian250 11-17-2004, 03:44 PM Bring back the warriors..those who fought their asses off LOOKING for the KO. Those like Nigel Benn, The 1988 Mike Tyson, Ray Mancini, Marciano, A young Hearns, 1972 George Foreman, etc...
trinidadpr87 11-17-2004, 04:06 PM [QUOTE=scap]Of course I would love too see Gerald mcClellan come back, he would have went to war with Hopkins, what a great fight that would have been.
definetly McClellan he would probably have been the undisputed middle champ.
BoxingPromoter 11-17-2004, 07:18 PM I would like to see the pre-champ mike tyson return, and here's
why: In tyson's first two years of being a professional he fought
at least once a month and knocked out all of his oppenents. Thats
the mike tyson we need now; tyson who is hungry, angry, and is
in tip top fighting condition because he is constantly honing
his skills by fighting frequently. Why can't tyson at least
fight 3 times a year. He certainly needs the money and
practice!
Deejay 11-17-2004, 08:23 PM Ray Robinson without a doubt, just to see the man in action. He'd just be awesome!! That, or a prime Ali...damn that'd be good.
The Fix 11-17-2004, 08:35 PM a prime jones would be nice. as would a prime holfeild. to be able to a prime ray robinson fight a prime marvin hagler would be amazing.
phallus 11-17-2004, 08:36 PM i'd like to see Joe Louis knock today's hw's out of the ring, i'd like to see stanley ketchel jump out of the grave an fight BHop, Harry Greb to fight Tarver, and a prime J.J. Jeffries beat up Ruiz, and Saddler against todays feathers - JMM, Pac, and Hagler against Hops... there's so many more, i could be typing this all night

Would McCline KO Louis?
phallus 11-17-2004, 09:01 PM Would McCline KO Louis?
Once McCline felt the power of one of Louis shots, he wouldn't want to be in the ring anymore. Joe's technique was so good it added power to his shots, if he laid the beating Schmeling got in the rematch on McCline, he'd never make it past the first round
Nautilus 11-17-2004, 09:07 PM Would McCline KO Louis?

But how do we know this for sure?
I think McCline can bench-press much more than Louis could.
phallus 11-17-2004, 09:16 PM Louis had more heart than McCline, he got up off the canvas to knock out Jimmy Braddock and win the title, McCline had Byrd on the canvas and couldn't finish him off, Louis is by far the superior technician, his jab and combinations are better than McCline's, Louis faced better opposition than McCline - all time greats, Max Schmeling, Max Baer, Braddock, Jersey Joe Walcott, and knocked them out

But this is an indirect comparison at best. Would Byrd beat Schmelling? We will never know for sure, right?
phallus 11-17-2004, 09:21 PM you're right, we'll never know for sure, but i suspect Byrd could beat a prime Max Schmeling, but not as brutally as Louis did. Byrd would probably have more trouble with Billy Conn, because he was a good boxer
strictlydope 11-17-2004, 10:01 PM Prime Ali for sure, and Prince Naseem
julDilla 11-17-2004, 10:07 PM a prime sugar Ray Robinson  he'll be tearing it up
orange 11-17-2004, 10:44 PM prime tyson vs prime ali....WTF
JOM'S 11-18-2004, 01:28 AM pryor and SRR no doubt...and maybe Alexis Agruello just to see manny pacquiao get KTFO (for the record i am not a manny hater) :D
i dont think you are a hater i think you are a pac man fan, pulling up legendary Alexis Arguello just to see pac gets KTFO...
i think you don't see anyone at present time being able to do that...
Prime Tyson, no doubt.
Prime Hagler.
deuce_drop 11-18-2004, 05:05 AM gerald mcclellan
jullian jackson
aaron pryor
sugar ray robinson
marvin hagler...
i loved to watch tapes on these guys, they all could scrap, good too.
aaron pryor and gerald mcclellan were my two favorite to watch, but they're all equal in excitement....
drag0n_ 11-18-2004, 11:13 AM Prime Tyson/Ali and Naz
BoxingPromoter 11-18-2004, 12:22 PM realistically, no fantasy bullcrap, I want to see mike tyson back
as the heavyweight champ. If mike can get his act together, which
probaly won't happen, he could retire some of these bums(ranked contenders) in the division today.Come on, jameel mccline and larry effing donald! If tyson could fight 3-4 fights per year he would be in tip top condition to challenge for the heavyweight title. I just don't understand the reluctance to fight more than 1-2 times per year.
