Are all-weathers those ****as that hydroplane easily? If so, they're the exception. Teh suck. Squezze 12-05-2004, 05:41 PM For the winter, I like big assed snow tires. I enjoy ripping through the snow while everybody else is spinning in one spot. Fallout 12-05-2004, 06:12 PM For the winter, I like big assed snow tires. I enjoy ripping through the snow while everybody else is spinning in one spot. Excatly. When it comes to driving on snow, you don't **** around. Slow down a bit, becareful, and put on the right tires. Zen 12-05-2004, 06:46 PM I like chains on tires. realkaps 12-07-2004, 04:22 PM **** chains, 4wd is all you need......... Curly Howard 12-07-2004, 04:28 PM **** chains, 4wd is all you need......... not on ice Squezze 12-07-2004, 04:30 PM Ever notice that the cool dudes with the 4x4s are always the ones you see upside down in the ditch? Curly Howard 12-07-2004, 04:32 PM Ever notice that the cool dudes with the 4x4s are always the ones you see upside down in the ditch? haha I crack up every time I see one of those huge SUVs sitting in the ditch when it snows. realkaps 12-07-2004, 04:49 PM We managed just fine when we went hunting last month. You just have to know how to drive...... Curly Howard 12-07-2004, 04:55 PM We managed just fine when we went hunting last month. You just have to know how to drive...... Here it starts as rain, then freezing rain that turns to snow. (ask the western Canadians about how fun this is) It's like driving on casters, your car just goes where it wants to. realkaps 12-07-2004, 05:02 PM We where up in the snow, the 3rd day we where up the sun was out, melted snow, then it got really cold, made ice. I agree that it sucks, but chains are not always necessary. I fell on my ass when I got out too lock the hubs..... Deacon Frost 12-07-2004, 06:05 PM Never have snow here. That and I'm looking at racing when I get the Supra, I will probably go for high performance tyres. Shaolin Bushido 12-07-2004, 08:15 PM Ever notice that the cool dudes with the 4x4s are always the ones you see upside down in the ditch? I have to admit ... no, I haven't noticed that. Then again we don't get the ****ty snow and ice you guys get for near as long, if ever. Tell me again, where the nice weather is in Canada? The mildest, weather-wise. HockeyFighter 12-07-2004, 08:18 PM Vancouver HockeyFighter 12-07-2004, 08:20 PM No extreme temps there. Doesn't get very hot in summer or very cold in winter. Taht's what the ocean does for ya. Here it's not too bad either. Usually a few cold days but nothing out of control. Plus we still get the 40 above weather in summer where you can barely go outside without starting on fire. Prince 12-07-2004, 08:57 PM in charlotte we get a total of about one week of snow or ice each year GeNeRaL 12-08-2004, 01:17 AM depends how much snow you get. I was trained and sold tires for a company for a while. All seasons are good if they are the right tire and right size. Obviously all seasons on a supra turbo, or anything with a 17 inch or larger wheel or sports car, aren't a good idea. For those, if it snows much, get some 16 inch steel wheels with snows. On something like a honda civic or whatever, then all seasons are ok. you wont get the grip snows get, but new all-seasons are much better than old snows. All seasons are good for someone on a tight budget. Just drive safe, you;ll be fine. Too bad no ones in CT, i get everything for wheels/tires at 10% under cost. my good friend is a manager of said company. I have a Toyota Matrix XRS (the 6 speed with 17 inch stock wheels) and it goes no where in snow cause of the performance tires. I got 4 16 inch alloys (split 5 spoke design) and 4 toyo observe snow tires (about the best tires for snow you can buy) for 450 bucks 2 years ago. still perfect treadwear and It goes every bit as good as the SUV's with their 4wd's. :) Shaolin Bushido 12-08-2004, 11:11 PM in charlotte we get a total of about one week of snow or ice each yearPrince, do you know Masakatsu Funaki, the poster?
