View Full Version : Diets are the work of Satan
Curly Howard 12-02-2004, 02:54 PM I'm sitting here and I start to smell this wonderful smell coming from the kitchen.
Friday's baked potato skins covered in cheese and bacon.... Oh my god I love those things. but do I get any??? NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO I'm on a diet.
I have to eat a ****ing CARROT for lunch.
While it was cool when I got my body fat count checked and it was at 7% with 9 lbs of total fat, it's not cool that everything that tastes good contains FAT.
What kind of cruel joke is this? Once I'm done fighting I'm going to gain 100lbs of saturated fat. I'll have a belly so big I won't be able to see my penis. My heart will be made of 85% cholesterol. I'll **** twinkies BWAHAHAHAA
Curly Howard 12-02-2004, 02:55 PM Sorry, I'll shut up and enjoy my carrot now

Look at that gut
Deacon Frost 12-02-2004, 07:29 PM I fight in the highest heavyweight category anyway. Atm I weigh around 98kg... lightest I've been in years. I just have a regular "diet". Carbs in morning, no carbs past mid afternoon. Eat lots of protein and vegies in the evening to make sure I'm full. So far the weight is peeling off. I do weights 3 days a week, MMA about 4 days/week atm. I haven't even started running. I'm losing about .5 kg/week so it's very gradual to ensure I don't lose muscle. I've been eating healthy consistently for ages so I never need to "diet". I eat what I want on weekends and for me, it's been pretty smooth sailing. I'd rather fight at a comfortable weight than come in very light and very weak.

Great stuff.
I'm 35 now and starting to have trouble with fat. If I don't train or work out I get up to about 160. I stay around 150 when I train and fight at 145. I usually don't have to diet but I wanted to try and loose some fat in areas that I couldn't get with just exercise. Plus I'm putting on muscle now and want to loose as much fat as possible while I do it. I take protien to supplement and just watch what I eat now. No more junk food or soda. I skip breakfast, eat veggies for lunch and have a good dinner. I like the results I'm getting.
Deacon Frost 12-03-2004, 04:58 PM Skipping breakfast is never a good idea bro. It's usually the one meal I WON'T skip .
But hey, whatever works for you at the end of the day :) Keep us posted.
I'm 26 so I'm in a very different spot too. I have never been able to lose weight easily but this year it seems to be melting off from all the intensive MMA training. Been hitting the clubs and raves a lot too :) You'd be amazed at how much fat can be burned by 7 hours+ of straight dancing.
VulgarTheClown 12-04-2004, 12:33 AM i've eaten good for the last week or so. i'm 212 and i wanna be at 205 very soon. i just ate a bunch of mints I LOVE MINTS

I know I shouldn't, but by the time you take a multi and a shot of creatine and a big glass of water there's not much left for food. I usually have lunch early and snack on veggies durring the morning.
I know what you mean about the training. I started learning new styles this year and couldn't believe how sore and sweaty I was after class. What I was doing wasn't harder, just different than what I was used to. Different muscles and I probably was trying harder. I can punch a heavy bag and it takes forever to break a sweat. 10 minutes clinching up and I'm tired lol. Dancing I'm sure sould be a great cardio workout.
