In answer to your question yeah it's a good deal but do you really need that much computer?

In a few months that price will drop by a couple of hundred $$$

That one I posted is a good machine for most users.

i need alot of computer and alot of power.

I put MAD pressure on the computer.

I'll be using it for video editing purposes till i am given a G4.

that and i'm a power hungry computer fiend, I need the baddest **** around.

alienware is a bit pricy and is a gaming pc but it has plenty of the power you want it has top of the line **** .

i wouldnt buy the one carl posted just cause t says compaq...not even for 10 bucks...ok then i would, but just to resell it... compaq to computers is like "Le Car" for quality automobiles. you just don;t want one.

Compaq used to be **** till they switched to AMD and VIA chips, now they're descent machines.

Back when they were running Pentium they weren't upgradeable and had Compaq engineering like those stupid riser cards and parity memory.
Gateway and eMachines are the new disposable computers.
