View Full Version : The NBA or a Tough Man Contest?
Squezze 11-19-2004, 11:37 PM Holy ****ing ****! There was a HUGE brawl in the Detroit/Indiana game. Ron Artest went into the stands, throwing punches at fans. Stephen Jackson followed him, taking swings at the Detroit fans. A HUGE riot. Jermaine O'Neal KOed a guy who came onto the court with a huge right hand. Artest was lucky the stands weren't full, cause he would have gotten torn apart by the Detroit fans. He was super lucky there was only 45 seconds left in the game.
Tons of suspensions and lawsuits coming from this one. Craziest thing I've ever seen in basketball.
Curly Howard 11-19-2004, 11:58 PM He's also lucky Bzob wasn't there

Fallout 11-20-2004, 01:20 AM He's also lucky Bzob wasn't there
He probably was. This has misunderstanding written all over it.
HockeyFighter 11-20-2004, 01:53 AM Seeing that **** owned. Without hockey this year other sports need to step up the fighting.
Shaolin Bushido 11-20-2004, 02:08 AM Seeing that **** owned. Without hockey this year other sports need to step up the fighting. They're even trying to fight in football. See the Pittsburgh/Cleveland game. Looked like two big sissies fighting.
Squezze 11-20-2004, 09:37 AM From what I heard teh players weren't all at fault this time.
The players should NEVER go into the stands to fight the fans. That's a huge cardinal sin, as far as pro-sports goes. If the fans come onto the field, they're fair game.

.... and get points for knockouts, knockdowns and amount of effective blows landed. This could give the losing team at the end of regulation an opportunity to WIN!
BRILLIANT!!1!!!!!!!!!!

2nd II none 11-20-2004, 05:29 PM i seen the whole thing it was all started by ben wallace pushing artest in the face and neck. artest was actually calm until some fan threw a cup at him while he was lying on the scorers table. then he ran out to the guy and tried to whip his ass then all hell broke loose and other fand started jumping and ****. but the shot of the night was when artest and jermane o'neal bombed on the guy that came on the court.

Rick Barry said everyone involved sucked, including the announcers. He especially singled out Artest and O'Neal for hitting that guy.
Shaolin Bushido 11-20-2004, 05:33 PM Rick was a hella competitor but he's also a *****. That's why everyone hated losing to him.
2nd II none 11-20-2004, 05:33 PM i think artest and o'neal were in the right that guy had no business out there and got what he deserved.
Shaolin Bushido 11-20-2004, 05:52 PM i think artest and o'neal were in the right that guy had no business out there and got what he deserved.Yeah, I agree. Barry started off saying that Artest did well not responding to Wallace but didn't agree after they threw **** in his face.
I admit, I wouldn't have been too happy about getting doused with soda, water or whatever but it coulda been spit or something else. I woulda been pissed too.
Shaolin Bushido 11-20-2004, 05:53 PM I know one announcer is Steven Smith but who was the other?
2nd II none 11-20-2004, 05:55 PM the other guy was bill walton a lsd freak
realkaps 11-21-2004, 12:25 AM 4 suspensions including Ben Wallace. Artest, Jackson, some other dude from the Pacers. They are all suspended indefinatly. They should know how long tomorrow......
Fallout 11-21-2004, 01:18 AM Its gonna be a long ****ing time too
2nd II none 11-21-2004, 01:23 AM it shouldn't be they defended themselves like any person in that situation would have. if they do get long suspensions i say it's bull**** and shows that the NBA doesn't stand behind it's players at all.
realkaps 11-21-2004, 01:30 AM Ben Wallace suspension makes me happy...
Yeah, Im still bitter about the finals last year.......
2nd II none 11-21-2004, 01:32 AM Ben Wallace suspension makes me happy...

Squezze 11-21-2004, 10:24 AM 4 suspensions including Ben Wallace. Artest, Jackson, some other dude from the Pacers. They are all suspended indefinatly. They should know how long tomorrow......
Jermaine O'Neal is the other dude.
nickeboy 11-22-2004, 09:00 AM Detroit needs to beef up there security...during the whole brawl you don't see one security guard or officer until it was all said and done. I also think Wallace over reacted to the foul, I don't think it was right for artest to go into the stands but the fans are as much to blame in the way they acted throwing beer, chairs, popcorn and anything else they could get their hands on. Bottom line is Jermaine O'neals straight right OWNED!!! That guy got KNOCKED THE **** OUT!!
Mr. Beelzebub 11-22-2004, 09:24 AM Jackson beat that **** out some short white guy in the stands... It was kind of ****ed up 'cause the camera caught his reaction as Jackson ran towards him, he was almost in tears. The fans in Detroit are bottom line the biggest ****ing *******s in the world, but the Pacers ****ed up big time; they really had a good chance to make it to the finals this year. Not anymore.
I think Artest's ban is way too long. It should be no more than 30 games.
Mr. Beelzebub 11-22-2004, 10:03 AM Jackson 30 games and O'Neal 25. Damn that sucks for O'Neal, all he did was drop that chubby **** that ran after him.
Jackson should get suspended for the rest of the season also. **** him.
Artest got a raw deal. Oh well. It's looking good for the Knicks now at least.
nickeboy 11-22-2004, 10:44 AM My Blazers are in talks with Toronto about getting Jalen Rose and Vince Carter...that would be insane...I hope we can pull it off not off to a good start so far...4-5 :(
Fallout 11-22-2004, 12:15 PM You can have Vince. You sneeze on him and he gets hurt.
BTW, there is a good chance that the suspentions will be reduced on appeal. David Stern knows that too. He just wants to send a message.
mmafanman 11-22-2004, 03:10 PM Those two fat ****s with the Detroit jerseys who stepped on the court deserved to get manhandled. Artest missed the big shot on the first fat guy though. But that's usually the case anyway...NBA players can't fight for ****.
Shaolin Bushido 11-23-2004, 07:56 AM Jackson beat that **** out some short white guy in the stands...
He punched a guy who was about to cry? Probably a foot shorter than him too!
****ing thugs mang. I heard on guy on sports radio who was really offensive as he suggested "certain types of people" weren't civilized since this kind of **** doesn't happen in say, opera or spelling bees, he really was condescending and suggestive of teh racism but damn, there's a kernel of truth to every lie ....
Shaolin Bushido 11-23-2004, 08:02 AM Hey, is Artest' cd, "gangster rap"?
BRILLIANT!1!1!1!
Mr. Beelzebub 11-23-2004, 04:00 PM Artest is a ****ing *****. Ben Wallace was the man he should have sucker punch, but nooooo, that ****ing ***** walked away from Wallace and ran onto the stands to beat some drunk ass Detroits fans.
Those two fat ****s deserve what they got. **** Detroit, that dump sucks.
Tha Playa 11-23-2004, 04:42 PM The **** was brewing since halftime. Detroit and their fans were pissed because Indian was laying the smack down on their asses. Lots of trash-talkin in the 2nd half, and with about a minute left, Artest drove in for a lay-up and big Ben smacked his **** away, while in the process knocking Artest into the goal post, but you couldn't really tell or not if he fouled him or Artest just lost his balance, so of course on the next pocession, Wallace gets the ball and jerks him around, Wallace gives him a huge shove and all hell breaks loose. Artest got his suspension because of previous trouble and for going in the stands from the beginning. Jacksonbs punishment wasn't enough, he just wanted to fight. O'neal's was too harsh, he just dropped a punk who had run on the floor to fight Artest.
Personally, I put most of the blame on the coaches, why have all the starters in a game when everyone os already at their boiling point, and the game is well in hand? Just asking for trouble. The Detroit security sucked as well. Gurantee from now on you'll see plenty of security at the games from now on.
