He was a 2000 Olympian whose only losses have come on TV against guys like Andre Ward, Allan Green and David Lopez. He was just working on the bag but it's interesting to study, atleast for me. I've been watching these guys in the gym and it's helped me correct a lot of my inconsistencies.

I think the only heavy bag videos i've truly enjoyed watching were Tyson's and now PAC's. The intensity that those two put on their heavy bag work is like watching a fight in itself.

good combination and movement, but those punches look weak

hes not putting any power behind them. just getting his hands moving, and throwing some quick combos. hes not going all out. most ppl just focus on speed and form for the first 1 or 2 rounds then step up the intensity and the power as they go on.

A lot of fighters don't go all out when they hit the bag. They like to pace themselves because that's how they fight. People tend to hit the bag they way they fight. Aggressive fighters go all out on the bag, while technical boxers do wat the guy in the video does.

Yup. I think most fighters can't go all out like Tyson or Pac for much long so they just go easy to match their pace of the fight. But you know Tyson and Pac they both fought at the same intensity they hit the bag. It gets little boring watching these other fighters (who go easy) hit the bag.

Could you have atleast waited until he punched hard to have filmed him?
Doesn't matter who you are, you have to hit the bag hard, you can go at a low work rate if that's how you fight but atleast put some power behind those shots.

thats just wrong. can u explain why u "have to" put power behing your punches when u hit the bag? not why its good i know that, u improve punching power. but explain why u have to. truth is u absolutely do not "have to" put power behind your punches when hitting the bag, u can work on other things.

a bag is a stationary target, its the best way to increase punch power. Why waste that time on the bag. If used properly, a heavy bag can be used to increase, speed, power, endurance immensely.
