Royce Gracie has already set a date to his return at the rings of MMA. Royce has confirmed to us that he will face the Sumo giant, Akebono at the K-1 event, on December 31st. Prior to that, he will watch his family in action at the Rumble on the Rock 6, in Hawaii this Saturday November 20th: 'I´m going to Hawaii to watch Royler, Rodrigo and a student of mine fighting. After that I head off to Japan a the press conference announcing the fight against Akebono at the K-1

not a joke, my friend, a royce blue belt, said its been in negotiation for several weeks.

It's being reported all over now.

Its maches like this that makes me hate Japanese fight productions.

But at the same time, i CAN understand why they woulsd book a fight like this. After all the bottom line is money, and this is one way to sell tickets...

But in the end they win, cuz you know i will watch this match. even if it is on the net.

I've yet too see a Sumo win in K-1 or MMA, Tieli Tula got some dental work in UFC 1, Manny Yarbarrow got spanked in UFC and Pride, and that dude got kimura's by Giant Silva in the GP. Royce will tap him before the end of the first, I am 100% sure.......

Akebono should just bum rush the twig with the four-hundred handslap and flatten him until he can't breath. That's definitely the strategy I'd go with.

Akebono has ZERO knowledge of subs. Plus he's gonna gas in the first 3 minutes. Royce by submission early in the 2nd.
