man how could you get tired with blame it on the alcohol playing in the backround? such a pumping song not annoying at all.

looks good though, you look like you should have more fights.

What camera was used to film this if you dont mind.

you've got some decent skills for a guy going into his first fight!

Yeah, definately concentrate on jabbing more, more straight shots, punching down the middle, you weren't swinging but the shots could be coming a little straighter from your face.

When jabbing make sure you get full extension and snap it in and out, body work is good, I agree a touch slappy but you can easily work on that, just focus on whipping the hips for power and to really dig it in.

I like your left hook, countered well with it, try thinking about speed more than power, the power will come easily with the speed.

Remember, if you think about being faster, you will be.

Also try to incorporate some rapid fire combinations then get out and back on your jab, it will catch the judges attention and will give you confidence, as well as a chance to hurt your opponent :boxing:. Remember to keep the punches sharp and bring them back to your guard etc.

Footwork could be a little quicker, a bit more on your toes, but you seem to have good balance though. I saw some nice feints too.

One last thing, neither of you seemed to want to take control of the ring. You should be looking to take control of the centre, using your jab to keep him at bay, getting in close on your own terms. When the bell sounds, get the centre of the ring immediatley unless he is bigger than you, if that's the case the focus on getting in and out, staying on the outside when he's jabbing, with the aim of moving in to smother his punches. Use the jab to get in and out. When you're the same size you want to take control of that ring, the jab is your friend.

All in all, you looked good, and proved to have some good skills,

best of luck! :boxing:

You looked good but be careful with that lazy jab. Good luck with your fights I think if your conditioning is there you will do great.

the negatives.. u look a bit sluggish, should try to be a bit quicker. u throw to few straight shots, like u said yourself. when u throw combinations, especially to the body u drop both hands. for example most of the time when u threw a liver shot u was open for a counter left hook to the head. u was open for uppercuts too, only the last guy made u pay for it but i saw it from round one.

positives.. for someone whos looking to fight for the first time u are very good. u are relaxed, keep your hands up well most of the time, good balance. you got the basics down, if u just use your jab more and correct some minor mistakes u will take it to the next level. and like i said you are more than ready for your first fight as it is.

good luck :boxing:

what weight will u be fighting at btw?

you're pretty heavy for your weight, especially as an amateur, how older are you?

I fight at 152lbs and I'm gonna try and get down to 140lbs after the summer, and I'm 6ft tall.

Guy in the Red tank top, keep your chin down...

Tuck that chin and move your head more or jab in. Don't just walk in and crowd him on the ropes. Good work though. You look good for being unboxed.

IMO: you didn't look like garbage. Pretty good. Chin down, Jab and conditioning. So that's an NYC boxing gym huh?

You were givin it to the first guy in the green shirt? But he had a better handling on positioning and shiit like that. Jab at his ass more.

jab and conditioning is really important.

your a short guy so if u dont jab your way in u are gon get picked of easily, and with your conditioning bad knocked out down the stretch. by a quality fighter that is. but thats what u need to prepare for. prepare for the worst and the best will happen.

You'll be fine, just try and work on some head movement with and without your punches, and also remember to bring your punches back, you let them loose to often and it leaves you open for counter punches, especially because you don't have much head movement.

ill be fighting at 152 .. thanks for the feedbackD&mn, 152, you're one short 152lber. You're gonna run into major problems with them tall cats at 152.

Okay, as far as your sparring vid. I pretty much agree with those voices in the video. You need to fight smarter as far as picking the right shots, don't just throw the jab just to throw it, and you're smothering yourself on the inside.

You tend to like leaning on your opponents, but, an experience fighter would use your momentum against you and create some space and boo ya, it's nighty night. So, be smart, know when to lean. And where's the head movement? Very important.

All in all, you're looking just about right for someone who is having his first fight.

Good sparring.
When did you start boxing?

I think the positive point is that you have some good power, throws good combos and have good control of the ring. Like everybody says i notice that you should jab more, and go faster when you go for body blows.

Good luck for your fight, you should do very well.
