View Full Version : Whats Next For Faber?
American_Ninja 06-08-2009, 04:03 PM He got the long awaited rematch, broke both of his hands in losing a unanimous decision. Whats next for Uriah Faber? Where does he go from here?
Another rematch with Brown? Seems unlikely, but you just never know.
Move up in weight?
StillUnknown 06-08-2009, 04:32 PM he'd be better served moving down as opposed to up in weight. the brown fights showed he has a problem when his opponent can bully him.
in an interview he said he's wrestled at 133 before and could still make he cut.
Torres vs. Faber would be a megafight
Dubious-Dutch 06-08-2009, 04:39 PM He should stay at his original weight class as Brown proved he is a small Featherweight or move down and fight Torres. Faber needs to worry about that horrible break in his hand before he focuses on MMA.

totally agree
Faber-Pulver 3
Faber proved he can outpoint and also submit Jens but he still has to prove he can knock him out and if he does then Faber-Brown 3 can happen where Brown has to make Urijah tap

wtf??!!?? both his hands? I thought he only broke one. damn, I guess his striking game is done. too bad, it would have been interesting to see where Faber would have taken his career from here. I don't think he'll be fighting at the same level after this injury.

I see at least 2 breaks, right pinky, and the ring finger. How did he go the distance?
One note: I noticed after both fights that Brown was hurting. In the 1st match, he was holding his ribs after. The 2nd one, he seemed to be completely exhausted. Faber did some damage.

Jens is an awesome dude. I hope he will retire.
It's hard seeing him in there like that.
There is no reason in the world for Jens to fight Faber ever again.

Did you see Jens vs Grispi? He is done. That was saddest moment in MMA in recent years.

The look on Pulver's face after this fight and Liddell's after getting KO'd by Shogun are tied for me.
Palma 06-09-2009, 01:29 PM I suggest a very long vacation.

Pulver is a much more likable guy. His face said it all.
My heart went out to him.
White_Bread 06-17-2009, 10:09 AM can this guy cut it in the UFC?

I haven't seen that yet but I felt terrible seeing Pulver knocked like that by a guy he should have beat. So sad.
White_Bread 06-17-2009, 11:41 AM Pulver was a arrogant ****y prick
Could Faber last it in the UFC???? Dont see why he is not there, has a huge fan base and is a guy with character and what do ya kno, he can fight
GroundSt.Pound 06-17-2009, 11:57 AM I want him to fight Kid Yamamoto. I've been wanting that fight for a long time.
