The new season kicks off tonight. TNT has two good games showing.
Pistons vs Rockets(8pm est) and Nuggets vs Lakers(10:30pm est)

I just got into Basketball again. I used to really be into it, like 6-7 years ago when Jordan was kicking ass with the Bulls. After he retired I lost interest. Well I recently bought NBA 2K5 for the PS2($20 brand new) and it has rekindled my interest. It got me acquainted with the new stars and the stars that have started to fade.

I was a Hardcore Bulls fan back in the 90's. The Bulls apparently have sucked donkey nuts since Jordan left, so I will no longer support them. The Knicks are my team now(I always liked them). I'm going to stay local from now on(I know they're closer, but **** the Nets). Unfortunately the Knicks have to face the T'Wolves tommorow, so the season may not start off so well. We'll see.

Lakers have always been my team, this year aint looking too good though, we lost Shaq which will hurt any team. We got to keep Kobe but if he has a long trial it's possible that he will miss a few games. I hate to say it but the Kings are likely to take the devision this year, and that sucks, because I ****ing hate the Kings.....

Yeah I hate the Kings too. Love the Lakers, always have. They have'nt looked too bad in the pre-season. Sure we lost Shaq, but that new white meat (Mihm) ain't doin too bad... plus, we actually have a team that hussles now, which could be good. Plus, havin Odem on the team should help out (MAD WEED). I guess we'll see....

Man, those were the days. I still hate Reggie Miller to this day for what he did to the Knicks in the playoffs. I can't remember what year that was. 96?

Nicky picks is back in action this year bigger and better then ever..we kicked off the season last night going 3-4 with the under 167 in the pistons game and the mavs-6 and under 206. The only loser was the nuggets +3 and that was a pick my friend gave me. Tonight we will go with the Houston, Blazers +1, and Cleveland...Good luck

P.S. Nuno keep up the good soccer picks buddy..3-3 yesterday!

Well the Knicks are 2-3. We almost beat the pacers. Great show by Stephon. Too bad the rest of the team didn't show up. I'll blame it on Crawford getting injured early on. Bah.....

The next three games are going to suck big time. Spurs, Houston, and then the Mavericks.....OUCH!!!

I think the Spurs will win it all this year. Miami MAY make some noise if Shaq stays healthy. Minnesota will pose a serious threat in the West, and I like the way Utah is looking.

As for the Lakers, they gave up on their season when they traded Shaq.

Don't sleep on the Mavericks. They've been pretty solid.

If they get to the playoffs I'll be happy. One thing they need to do is start Penny at SF and bench Tim Thomas for a while.

I'm not expecting them to win the championship, but they've been entertaining me and that's what counts. And now they're top of their division(even though they're only at .500).

After I wrote that it occurred to me that I might have exaggerated since I havent' been following teh NBA too closely.

Damn, how did the Lakers lose to the Bulls yesterday. That's pretty bad.

The Knicks on the other hand are 2 games above .500(8-6) and top of their division. Marbury hit four 3 pointers in a row last night. The night before Crawford hit another game winning 3. The Knicks may not be the best, but they're keeping me entertained.

Interesting post I saw in the ESPN forums.

"O.K. Wednesday afternoon in midtown N.Y. I was speaking with a person from the Knicks management who say the Houston Trade for Carter is working 100% in Isiah Thomas plans now that Carter went down because Toronto wants Jalen Rose out of Toronto so Houston & Hardaway for Carter & Rose plus is going to go down after agents, Lawyers, and Docters put their signature on Paper.

I was getting into my Hate-Laydumb mood again but this time it was for Isiah Thomas(stupid trading again)while this guy was talking.
How could Isiah Thomas be so ill-informed about chemistry players. His trading transaction after he trade Houston away would make Kurt Thomas the best Peremeter-Shooter on the Knicks. And Yes' Isiah would have gotten rid of all Laydumb contracts except for second year PF Sweetney.

How would the Knicks look with Marbury, Crawford, Carter, and Rose? Lets just say they all have the same game (below 35% peremeter-shooting and thats where they all shoot 65% of their shots) except Carter has leaping ability to play above the rim but do not expect him to go after any rebounds in the regular season games (Too Fragile). "

What do you guys think about this possible trade?
