3-1. Went 3-0 and last weekend lost a split decision with a guy who I supposedly had "no business being in the ring with".

The kid was a 132 fighter that won golden gloves in my area. I fight 119 and just didnt cut weight while he was cutting. The weight differance was 9 pounds and several inches for him. It was a coin toss. I guess I was unlucky that time. Its only going to make me stronger though.

^ Thats nearly exactly what happened with my one and only fight. I'll tell you, I've only had one match, and promoters already playing tricks. My fight was suppose to be at 120, but without me knowing, they changed it to 125, the kid weighed in at 132, I weighed in at 122. 10 pound advantage, and as far as I know there can only be an 8 pound difference (right?). Also the kid had 7 fights, and this was my first, and the promoter had told us he had no fights. I'm just trying to get to a different gym because I train at a ****ty MMA gym down the street.

Yea man its ****. Acually at the smaller weights its only supposed to be 4 pounds. 8 for the higher weights. The kid I fought was well into open as he won the golden gloves. I was very upset after the fight but now I realise in my 4rth fight a SD against a top guy from two weights up on me is nothing to be upset about. Keep punching man, how did that fight go anyway?

It seems that a lot of BS posters are good fighters, maybe a future olympic medalist in here,...

why u always callin people out like your the authority if he is lying then let him live his lie!

I'm from Massachuestts.

They claim to be from Massachusetts, and claim to have these dazzling records. I know of no fighters around here with records like that with the exception of a kid who is 33-3 and neither one of them are him.

Why you calling me out like your the authority or someones bodyguard? I'd like to catch them in the lie because I'm pretty positive they are lying. Let me live my life.

I didn't call you out. I never heard of an MD in the amateurs. Where I'm from they go by points and just announce the winner and that's it. They don't read scores nothing.

Well if they are or are not telling the truth I want to know who they are. I'm from the same area so maybe I know them. That poster that used to post here by the name of Mcnulty I think it was....turned out I pumped the dudes gas lol he came on here one day and asked me if I worked at a gas station.

Why would I beat off to Miguel Cotto? What are you talking about? You some kind of pervert? How old are you, 12? I probably got more pus$y in the past couple years than you will ever get in your entire life.

And for the record.....Im a boxer from New England and work for the largest boxing promotional company in New England. People in here from New England claim to have these glossy amateur records. If they really did...1- I would like to possibly fight them if we are close in weight and 2-the company i work for, CES, could start scouting them to sign them later on and let them fight on out pro-am cards. Or....they are just lying, which I assume they are.

only majority decision in amateur in england im pretty sure. majority is the same as split in uk amateur-2 judges have it for 1 and the other judge has it for the other. majority decision in pro boxing is like 1 judge got a draw and the other 2 have them winning. hope that clears it up.

You don't fight in the shows at Manfredo's? Or on the CES pro-am cards? I don't know of anybody around here with a record of 20-2 youd think wed here about you at CES we hear about all the other good amateur prospects from the area.

I'm done fighting amature. But my record was 60 something and 4 losses. All losses were on the national level. Got robbed twice but, that's amatures for you.

As for the kid talking about calling bull**** about people from the Lowell area. I have fought in Lowell many times, and all around New England / New York and what not. I have met many fighters with a 20+ win record with only few losses.

Alot of the good fighters from New England have gone pro, yes. But there are still some around. Take a look at last years team that went to the nationals. Granted a few of them have turned pro as well, but New England took home the team trophy.

Unfortunatly this year we only had one(I believe it was one) that made it to the final round.

Honestly, this was one of the weakest years I have seen down in New England. Also one of the worst judging years I have EVER seen. Lowell judging is **** and very corrupt.

It was pretty bad. The kid comes from a gym of brawlers, thats nearly every fighter there, so they are like all well conditioned. Remembering this was my first fight and I put up against an experieiced brawler who threw as much as like Paul Williams, lol. I was to overwelmed. I'm more of an agressor, but I press forward, not throwing so much that my opponent moves backwards. He also winged his punches kind of wide, so as I was being pressed backwards, his wide-winged were clipping me cause I was giving him enough distance for them to land. It ended in a TKO second round, I'm just glad I didn't get knocked down, but honestly, worst night of my life, laughed out of that damn arena. But it's all in the past.

8 fights, 6 exibitions. Almost everytime I go to a small show there is nobody my weight and I end up in an exhibition usually against 141 pounders. I've always weighed between 125-132. I've been boxing for 6 years too lol. I quit for a long time though in between. I had a concussion before the NE Golden Glove this year and couldn't fight because I was in Atlanta training with the former New B REC coach who now lives there and has a concussion in an exhibition. I didn't get KOd or nothing I did very good but the next morning I got a headache and it just didn't go away so I went to get checked out. Sucked because I was in the best shape of my life and was sparring with good pros and amateurs and has an exhibition against a great fighter out there.

Kahn needs to work on a few things but he's 16 years old and the kid can really fight. His record is like 33-3 or 36-3, something like that. I remember seeing him in an exhibition against some kid like twice his size and he took the kid to school with speed and good movement.

But I mean...the kid dominated in the SNE Golden Gloves, went on and dominated in the NE Golden Gloves, and went to National Golden Gloves and made it all the way to the finals and lost to a kid who is waaaay more experienced than him especialy at the national level and was like a 6ft 125pounder. Did this all at 16 and his first year in the gloves.

An exhibition against a 152 pounder. A 152 pounder who had over 40 fights and was tall and lanky. I weighed in at 129.5 that day. I did great against the kid and felt great after the fight. Woke up in the morning with a headache that wouldn't go away. I dunno if you have ever done an exhibition, but unless it is with one of your friends than it is usually exactly like a fight and that's what this was. I have no problem fighting people with 3x as many fights as me. I've been boxing for 6 years, I know what I'm doing. My exhibitions have been tougher than my actualy fights for the most part. You didn't see the exhibition, so you can't judge.

He got murdered in the last round and landed about 2 clean shots all fight. One of the worst decisions I have seen in a good while.

you should retire now :lol1:Whys that? Just because he has 3 am losses. Its amatuer level, which means you are still learning quite a bit. Thats an average (early) amatuer record.

im 24 yrs old i did boxing when i was a kid and i wanna get back because i feel like i have a unfinnished business there.. i lost my first amateur fight and left =( i knew i can do better now i am older do u think it is that much easier for me if i compete in the senior amatuer boxing.. because i think most seniors who trained in a long time will probably moved on to becoming a pro. so i be up against noobs.. is my theory true?

1-1 amateur record and 2-0 exhibitions

I entered the Marciano tournament 2 years ago, won the first fight (ended up with a bruised rib) and made an unwise decision to fight in the second round a week or two later.

I'm 19, 6' 3", 174lbs and 6% body fat right at the moment. Probably going Ameteur as a light heavyweight but might just skip over to cruiserweight. I'll be going Ameteur shortly after I recover from this injury.. I'm confident that I'll be able to do well. After getting some Ameteur experience under my belt I'll be going Pro. Will be posting up a record soon I hope, I've got some skill, speed and powah~ =)
