Big Red was the name of my daughter's van.

Looks fixable. I guess it depends on how much the van is worth, and how much it'll cost to fix.

It's a '94 and the ins. company said that with a vehicle that old and the airbags deployed, it's pretty much totaled. It's worth about $3000-$3500 tops....the passenger front fender was just replace in April from the last accident and it was $1800. That was only the fender, lights and a little body work on the hood. This is ALOT more. Remember, everything is MUCH more in CA. It sucks.
She's gonna miss it, but she's also looking forward to an automatic car....at least she can drive a stick now. :-)

When we got the van home today, we lifted the hood and found the radiator tube (where the cap goes) had punctured the battery. On closer inspection of the van, you can tell the other girl hit her. Daughter just about broke down today. I did, because how lucky I feel to still have her here and NOT seriously injured.
