is it your first time competing? if so just make sure u are in great shape, u should always be in great shape to fight ofcourse, but make sure u are conditioned to go 6-8 rounds. bcuz if its your first time most likely u will be somewhat nervous and tense, and u will get fatigued quicker (just like when u started sparring, it will be the same the first time u fight). make sure u can go like 6 rounds in sparring without getting tired cuz it might be a diffrent experience once u fight.
other than that just listen to your trainer, try to get him on the pads thats the best way for him to find possible flaws in u. run alot. spar ALOT. every time u get the chance spar. and mix it up if u have the possibility. quick guys, strong guys, southpaws.. etc. cuz u never know what kind of oponent u will get n u need to be able to adapt and feel comftorable weather its chasing down a slickster or dancing circles around a guy strong enough to break u in half.
