View Full Version : Making weight for weigh in and fight same day

Hello, im doing my first MMA fight in 5 days at max-174 lbs. I went out of town, got lazy, and stopped watching, and am at 185-188. (im late for school, so this is real quick). Im worried about making weight because I can't depend on making up the weight I would cut un-healthily, like dehydrating, starving, whatnot, becuase then I fight 1-2 hours later.

Right now, im doing 3 cardio sessions a day, im cutting my carbs to almost nothing (but im trying not to catabolize), like 1 cup oatmeal in the morning, some spinach throughout the day, etc. All of the forum posts I see for cutting weight relates to those sessions where the fighters have 24hours to recover.

im looking for advise for a same-day weigh in and fight, trying to cut abotu 10-13 lbs in 5 days. Im not overly experience, to answer some allready apprarent questions.
