me and black mike were building a bar in my garage that night. the water leaked in through the side door after we passed out. turns out that all of the condos in my association have this lil design flaw. the next day i'm seeing all these people sweeping water out of their garages.

there was also sawdust everywhere that got all mixed up. that's how i could tell how high the water level was cause the sawdust stuck to the sides of the walls after it all subsided.

Do you have coverage for flood damage?

i'm pretty sure the owner does but the damage isn't really worth the deductible nor the raised premium from the filing. usually hazard insurance damage should be in excess of a few thousand $ to make a filing worthwhile.

This is very true. We had that minor flood when a drain hose burst a few weeks ago. My dad says we should file a claim, Hubby says no. I called my agent today and if I made a claim, my rates would go up $200/year. I have a deductible of $500 and the drying out bill was $1185 not including repairs, which is something we can do ourselves. It's not worth it.
