Unfortunatly this is more serious than a broken hand or a torn legiment. Guy Mezger has suffered a stroke
Taken from mmaweekly.com
MMAWeekly's Ryan Bennett reports that Guy Mezger is out of UFC 50. Unfortunately, the news is much worse than that. Apparently, Mezger fainted twice during training today, then collapsed and later had a stroke.
The UFC had no comment at this time. We will have more information on Mezger's condition and the entire situation on tomorrow's news and MMAWeekly radio with Ryan Bennett and Frank Trigg.
Obviously, this is much more serious than the usual story of a fighter dropping out due to a broken hand or torn ligament. We at MMAWeekly send our thoughts and prayers out to Guy and his family at this most difficult time.
