Tell me, how many fighters would not get KO'd by unblocked bombs from a guy as big and strong as Rogers?

yeah, arlovski let that guy land some punches but seriously though, a lot of fighters could have withstood the initial punches. it was only the punches that rogers landed when arlovski was against the fence that were significant but the ones before that weren't anything special.

Arlovski is a good fighter but he has a weak chin.

Roger's and Sheild's really impressed me, and don't forget about Rigg's he really stepped up his game! Diaz just beat the **** out of the other guy....it was like he was blocking punches with his face all night long.

Arlovski is a good fighter but he has a weak chin.Yeah but when he got to the fence he was rocked and very vulnerable on the ground before the ref stopped it. IMO it was a good stoppage.

yeah, Rogers, Shields and Diaz were pretty good. But the only problem with them is that I don't want to see them against tomato cans in Strikeforce. I'd rather see them against some real comp in the UFC.

As good as those guys are, I wouldn't care to see them fight if they are only gonna face bums at strikeforce.

thats exactly what I said. Rogers landed those punches only because Arlovski got rocked and THEN went backwards to the fence and Rogers was able to land clean shots while Arlovski was a litte wobbly.

I thought that the stoppage was a bit quick, but at the same time he probably was done at that point.

Anyone seen anything else of Rogers? Hard to judge a guy's game when he take someone out so fast.

actually, the stoppage was alright cuz intially it looked like arlovski was out on his feet but on the replay it seemed like he had kinda recovered.

I think had it continued it would have only lasted another 4 seconds at most.

It was a good stoppage IMO.

These are some wild as well as unfounded as well as offensive remarks.

Which cans do you speculate they will be put against? Allstair Overeem is a "can"? Cung Le is a "can"? *rollseyesviolently*

I guess there is no "real comp" outside of the UFC®. No real comp in the Heavyweight division in Affliction, in the Lightweight division in DREAM, in the Bantamweight division in WEC®. No real comp at all. :baby:

He fought in EliteXC. You should be able to pull up some of his videos that were on Showtime & CBS

You do realize all 3 of their opponents were UFC alums, right?

And that the best fighters in MMA, especially in the heavyweight division, don't necessarily compete for Dana White

yeah but how many fights is that gonna be? they have like 1 or 2 fights against good competition and then what? Yes I know that Barnett and Fedor are great hw's but that is only 2 fights for Rogers though. Is he suppose to have 2 fights for the rest of his career or keep fighting the same guys over and over?

And isn't Cung Le contemplating retirement? but even if he isn't, whats next after a fight with Cung Le?

If you are just looking at 1 or 2 Strikeforce/Affliction ppv's a year, than I guess this might work, but if they want to do more events, then they need more quality competition which they don't have.

The same fighter [e.g. Rogers] doesn't fight on the every card all throughout the year.

Who does he have? I don't know, Mark Hunt would be a fight that would be a "slobberknocker" and one that I would love to watch. Bobby Lashley when he gets a few more wins under his proverbial belt would be a great fight. Sylvia, if he wins his boxing fight and the August MMA fight; Rothwell; even Big Country. Those are all fighters IN ADDITION to Fedor [#1 in the World] and Barnett [#2 in the World] that he could fight. When AA wins some, he could rematch him. Junior Silva. ****, even Monson. There are as many Heavyweights, if not more, out there outside of the UFC® then there are in. And let me be the one to break it to you: the UFC®'s Heavyweight division is ****. Big Nog, Mir, a bunch of **** fighters, and a bunch of raw untested fighters.

I could do the above for the Middleweights as well but don't feel the need. I have better things to do. For you to proclaim that anyone that Rogers will face is a "can" and/or a "bum" is out of line. Seriously out of line.

E

Post Script. Rogers versus Cabbage would be war. Make it happen, SF.
