Is going on his first camping trip without me. Part of me is sad, but then again, I am looking forward to a whole weekend without him. Aren't I awful?

It's an ROTC camping trip. They asked me to chaperone, but I have too much work to do on my sewing jobs. He was disappointed until his sister told him how much fun it is to go WITHOUT mom or dad....lol...maybe I should go now...I've heard him planning stuff. Hmmm......

Me and my friends got uber stoned one time on a high school camping trip. The teacher had no idea. It was awesome.

LMAO @ all the posts. I hope he has a great time. They are going with the other local high school ROTC and he's heard how they will come kick sand in the tents, steal their food, etc. He said he'll do it right back and I did the mom thing. "I don't want hear about you doing it back, blah blah blah." To which he replied:

"Ok mom, I won't tell you what I do then."

smartass kid

what he needs to do is immediately conspire with the other kids to pick out one poor ****er, tie him to his bed while he sleeps, and beat him with soap bars wrapped in towels.

In reality, ROTC has been good for him. I've seen a huge difference in him for the most part. Still a long ways to go, but I'll take all the baby steps I get. I'm proud of him for improving this early in the game.

Until today, I thought he was doing really well (for him) in school....had a meeting scheduled with ALL of his teachers today, only one showed up. I wasn't too happy about it and they ALL know it now. I also found out that he's failing one class already and no one has bothered to let me know that he's missing four assignments in that class. It's in the contract with the school that they need to get in touch with me PRONTO! I'm reachable. GRRRR!!! So now the VP at the school is aware and is upset too. You don't schedule an appt with a parent then not show up.
