Sources close to Frank Mir have confirmed that the UFC Heavyweight Champion suffered a broken femur in a motorcycle accident. He had successful surgery to repair the injury but should be out of commission for some time. Mir sustained no other injuried in the accident.

Mir breaks Sylvia's arm. Eilers breaks his hands on Kyle's face. A bike accident breaks Mir's leg. What does that mean? Arlovski is all dressed up and nowhere to go. Maybe Arlovski vs. Fujita in Japan?

Inside fighting is reporting that a metal rod was place in Mir's broken femur and he will recuperate in about 8-10 weeks, as opposed to about a year like it was previously reported.
