When executing the Jab-Cross combo while stepping in, do you step left with the jab AND step right with the cross (orthodox)? I have heard it's just one step (with the lead foot). I find you reach with the cross if you don't step.

Any thoughts?

thats correct for the most part. sometimes in the heat of the moment when you throw the straight you dont reach them so and your moment causes you to take a small step with your right foot as your throwing the straight but it shouldnt be a problem as long as your in good position and you have your left guard up. you see pros do it all the time and its always while the opponent is stepping back and not trying to counter so they are usually safe but always keep that left hand up. try not to make it a habit though to take that small right step. if the jab lands and your quick on the 2 then it should hit.
