View Full Version : Canada wins World Cup
HockeyFighter 09-14-2004, 09:39 PM Good game, 3-2 final over Finland. Anyone who doesn't like hockey and is reading this can feel free to get the **** out of my thread.
And to think they said our hockey program was collapsing. Well the 2002 Olympic gold, 2003 & 2004 World Championship gold and the 2004 World Cup win say otherwise.
Squezze 09-14-2004, 09:44 PM Canada rules at hockey. No questions asked.
Fallout 09-14-2004, 10:28 PM Canada ****ing Rules!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
handjobs4dollars 09-14-2004, 11:27 PM God dammit kick ass game.
Purity 09-15-2004, 12:43 PM congrats. i present you with a wonderful video (http://poststuff2.entensity.net/091304/media.php?media=ouch.wmv) of some skater gettin his **** pushed back.
DOGGx0 09-15-2004, 04:49 PM i watched canada take it home. good job. well done. the guy holdin at the cup at the end looked like he didnt know how to react. i prolly would'nt either. how long has it been? 14 years?
Squezze 09-15-2004, 04:50 PM They won the last World Cup as well. So in other words, no it hasn't been 14 years.
DOGGx0 09-15-2004, 04:52 PM They won the last World Cup as well. So in other words, no it hasn't been 14 years.
same **** holmes. also, i listened to the commentating afterwards and thats how they made it sound. i don't follow hockey that much, but it was a nice win for canada.
handjobs4dollars 09-15-2004, 10:13 PM I think adam means the stanley cup. Which is odd because tampa bay had more canadians playing then the flames had.
Squezze 09-15-2004, 10:27 PM Yeah, the last "Canadian" team to win it was the Montreal Canadians in 93. But all NHL teams are Canadian in my book.
handjobs4dollars 09-15-2004, 10:42 PM I wish the nhl would stop trying to break into a us market and try selling the game oversea's.
HockeyFighter 09-15-2004, 11:05 PM The USA won the last World Cup in 1996 beating Canada 5-2 if I remember correctly.
Dave Andreychuk hadn't won a Stanley Cup (NHL Championship) in his 15 years in the NHL until last year when he won it with Tampa Bay.
I think that should clear this thread up since I was getting lost.
DOGGx0 09-15-2004, 11:53 PM I think adam means the stanley cup. Which is odd because tampa bay had more canadians playing then the flames had.

Fallout 09-16-2004, 12:00 AM In the words of Bubz
Hockey=Ratings
Squezze 09-16-2004, 08:38 AM Wasn't there a World Cup between 96 and now? I could have sworn there was.
HockeyFighter 09-16-2004, 08:47 AM nope
Mr. Beelzebub 09-16-2004, 10:06 AM Hockey>MMA
Hell ****ing no, chubby chubbs. There is no team sport that is more exciting than watching combat sports. None, null, zero.
you = the ghey.
Purity 09-16-2004, 11:03 AM yeah. chubs took it too far there.
Fallout 09-16-2004, 11:06 AM I took nothing too far. Hockey is the greatest sport on the planet. Deal with it.
Purity 09-16-2004, 11:12 AM oh well llama. let him have his glory and rationality should hopefully comeback within a week.
Fallout 09-16-2004, 11:21 AM I didnt grow up with MMA. I dont have professional MMA fighters in my families history. I don't have memories of watching MMA fights with my whole family at my grandfathers house.
So again Hockey>MMA
Purity 09-16-2004, 11:29 AM ooookay. that's cute. anywayz, give him a week folks. he'll feel better then.
handjobs4dollars 09-16-2004, 01:58 PM It's a canadian thing. The first sport you remember playing is hockey when you grow up around here. I learned how to skate when I was 3.
DOGGx0 09-16-2004, 04:09 PM I didnt grow up with MMA. I dont have professional MMA fighters in my families history. I don't have memories of watching MMA fights with my whole family at my grandfathers house.
So again Hockey>MMA

Fallout 09-16-2004, 04:11 PM It's a canadian thing. The first sport you remember playing is hockey when you grow up around here. I learned how to skate when I was 3.
Yeah, it took me a long time to learn to walk compared to most kids. It was like a year and a half before I really got the hang of it. I learned to walk at 1 1/2, I was skating when I was 2.
Purity 09-16-2004, 05:17 PM so you take a long time to learn basic stuff eh?
DOGGx0 09-16-2004, 05:34 PM so you take a long time to learn basic stuff eh?
thats right eh. coz hes canadian and stuff eh. eh.
HockeyFighter 09-16-2004, 08:15 PM I've played hockey for 16 years. I don't care if I become the badest blackbelt in history that holds the Pride, UFC, KOTC, Shooto, Pancrase, RITC and TKO titles at the same time, hockey will always be #1.
DOGGx0 09-16-2004, 10:00 PM hHkey will always be #5.
Combat Sports>Basketball>Football>NASCAR>Hockey
Fallout 09-16-2004, 10:16 PM Basket-ball sucks. The players are whiny *****es that act like spoiled childern if they aren't on winning teams. Players on a team don't get input into who becomes the G.M or coach of the team. **** Vince Carter.

dont hate the playa hate the game
Squezze 09-16-2004, 10:48 PM NASCAR sucks. Sucks huge ass. Ooooh lets watch cars drive around in a circle for 3 hours. How ****ing boring.
HockeyFighter 09-16-2004, 10:52 PM I'd rather watch cricket than basketball
Squezze 09-16-2004, 10:54 PM I do love basketball though. Really fast paced game. Football on the other hand bores the **** out of me.
Fallout 09-16-2004, 11:25 PM NASCAR is only cool because of the giant accidents and people dying in flamming cars. If I want to watch racing for racing sake, I'll watch F-1 or IRL.
