He's a ****ing beast with amazing dedication/determination. One - Shot 05-28-2009, 03:43 AM Lesnar By submission this time.:killyou: F l i c k e r 05-28-2009, 04:32 AM Frank Mir wins again. He is too cunning and Brock's chicken legs aren't gonna help him break submission attempts. Mir by submission. 1st if Brock is over agressive again. 2nd if he fights like he did against Heath Herring. jakkups 05-28-2009, 10:16 AM Frank Mir wins again. He is too cunning and Brock's chicken legs aren't gonna help him break submission attempts. Mir by submission. 1st if Brock is over agressive again. 2nd if he fights like he did against Heath Herring. Exactly how I see it going as well. Pretty Boy1 05-28-2009, 08:41 PM Brock's had ages to train and improve! Imagine how good he'll be in July! Lesnar by KO! He improved from the Mir fight to Herring fight and showed more improvement from the Herring fight to the Couture fight!! ABOSWORTH 05-28-2009, 09:43 PM I think Mir will win again but wouldn't be too surprised if Lesnar pulled it this time. I want Mir to win although Lesnar is growing on me a bit. He seems to be taking the sport seriously. American_Ninja 05-29-2009, 01:24 AM Why would anyone think that Lesnar wasn't taking MMA seriously? He trains hard, he is learning. Randy landed some clean shots on Brocks chin and it didn't faze him. He cut Brock, no matter. Lesnar by clean KO this time. The way the first fight should have ended. Mir is going to join the Rashad Evans club. KTFO. F l i c k e r 05-29-2009, 01:26 AM Mir said it himself, that he wasn't going to stand up with Lesnar. He said he couldn't stand up with him. So what does that mean? Wrestling vs BJJ..... BJJ always wins. American_Ninja 05-29-2009, 09:23 AM Mir said it himself, that he wasn't going to stand up with Lesnar. He said he couldn't stand up with him. So what does that mean? Wrestling vs BJJ..... BJJ always wins. Not...............Mir is full of sh1t. BJJ always wins.isnt matt serra a bjj fighter and gsp a wrestler ? and thats just one high profile example. and yeah i know ur referring to mir saying he doesnt wanna fight standing, but after seeing him fight nog, only way i see mir getting it to the ground is if lesnar puts him down, and i cant see lesnar being too keen on laying on mir. been quite awhile since mir had a takedown too. Are you comparing GSP's skillset to Brock Lesnar's? Isn't GSP a black belt in BJJ from Bruno Fernandes???? Exactly. I dont see how you can say he will stand, when the man said himself that he wasn't going to. BJJ you dont have to score a takedown, you can get one and catch someone in a submission. Seeing how Lesnar is still an over agressive fighter, I have no problem seeing a calm guy like Mir catching Lesnar in another submission. Sn1gger 05-29-2009, 06:10 PM Are you comparing GSP's skillset to Brock Lesnar's?the thread isnt about skill sets, its about the ground game and lesnar is an absolute beast and will have a size advantage even greater than gsp's was over serra Nicky Fatton 05-29-2009, 06:18 PM This fight is Lesnar's to lose. If he plays it right and avoids the ground game he should win the fight thus setting up the inevitable rubber match. phallus 05-30-2009, 06:10 PM i'm hoping for mir but he'll have a tougher fight this time, he's the smarter fighter but he can't win on his feet, he'll have to try and submit lesnar from the bottom or maybe try the heel hook agian. probably brock wins this time. i wanna see him fight shane carwin vinnie7731 05-30-2009, 07:32 PM Mir said it himself, that he wasn't going to stand up with Lesnar. He said he couldn't stand up with him. So what does that mean? Wrestling vs BJJ..... BJJ always wins. i watched an question and answer video on ufc.com with frank mir talking about his fight with brock and he basically said he doesnt care where the fight goes. he said if brock wants to stand up and box, he will knock him out, he said if he wants to go to the ground, he will submit him. he also said that where ever brock wants the fight to go, brock will take it there. basically saying brock can overpower him which we all know. he sounds confident as always, and i hope he wins. also, in my viewing experience and also from the commentation on fights i watch, wrestling tends to be more dominate and most wrestlers will win over bjj guys. wojosh6 05-30-2009, 10:26 PM Lesnar submission win via suplex off of the top turn buckle. |
