Wlad was confident and had a high work rate and would outbox and probably stop Morrison in 4. If the fight took place where both fighter had been exposed I would give to edge to Morrison. I think Morrison has the bigger heart. I think Tommy would get dropped early in the first but would get back up and stop an arm weary Wlad in the second or thrid round. slickhook 03-08-2007, 12:47 AM dont call it a comeback beez721 03-08-2007, 01:08 AM The battle of the glass jaws. I think tommy would destroy Wlad, unless Wlad got in a lucky punch. wlad would be an absolute disaster matchup for any version of morrison. morrisons always had trouble with good jabs, hand speed and movement,,,all three of which wlad posesses. he wouldnt be able to reach wlad with that big hook and would get taken out by the mid rounds. if it were to happen now,,,it wouldnt last 30 seconds of 1 round mECHsLAVE 03-08-2007, 01:17 AM Actually Morrison didn't have a glass jaw. It's a common misconception by casual newb fans who watch the clip of him getting KO'd by Mercer and think they know something. That's the ONLY time he was ever KO'd. LOL He got up off the canvas several times to KO his opponent, and the only other times he was stopped was by the 3 knockdown rule against Bennt (3 flash knockdowns) and against Lennox, and he stood up pretty well to the punishment from Lennox. If his eye hadn't closed and he'd been more competitive then Mills would've let him continue.... he wasn't even really "hurt" when stopped by Lennox, he was just getting beat up. The Mercer thing could've happened to any fighter who got caught against the ropes with an inept refereee. I really hate it when newbs watch a youtube clip of the Mercer KO and just say "Morrison had a glass jaw har har" or whatever. Just shows you didn't follow the sport back then. Morrison stood in and took heavy shots from big punchers like Lennox, Ruddock, Foreman, etc etc. His problem was stamina and defense, not really his chin. He got overzealous trying to KO Bennt and lost because of the 3 knockdown rule- if not for that rule, he might have been able to stop Bennt later in the fight. And he was just too small, with too short of a reach, to deal with the big, long jab from Lennox (esp when his eye closed) and would've had the same problem against Wlad. j 03-08-2007, 01:17 AM klitschko by 10 round tko(at most). The battle of the glass jaws. I think tommy would destroy Wlad, unless Wlad got in a lucky punch everyone in the heavyweight division has glass jaws. are you aware of how hard many of those guys hit? how many heavies with over 40 fights have never been knocked down? Ishak Pasha 03-08-2007, 01:32 AM ima have to go for wladimir. beez721 03-08-2007, 01:43 AM Actually Morrison didn't have a glass jaw.
