Curly Howard

Yeah it's still huge and it's only moving at like 8 mph. It has to be hell right now.

For me it was not that bad. I'm just south of where it hit hard but we have some power loss and down trees everywhere. Now look at this ****er Ivan coming in. God lets catch a break.

I'd say 10" of rain in West Palm Beach is just a little more than a drizzle.

I just got power back on in my office today. My immediate area isnt bad, but I was riding around yesterday and some parts of jacksonville have knee deep water on the ground. Thousands of people, including my grandparents havent had power since Saturday morning.

The worst part is the boredom of having to stay inside the house.

Makes the cold seem kind of trivial, doesn't it?

It has been raining all f'n morning overhere. The remains of Frances has ****ed up my day here in NJ.
Streets are flooded all over the place, cars are braking down because of the water... People are ****ing dumb as hell in Jersey.

No. I deal with a hurricane anyday over cold weather.

So, you would rather walk chest deep in water than ankle deep in snow?

Allison

Actually, when I was in Boston, I liked the snow. But i dont like it when it gets cold enough to snow, then doesnt. I'm just used to hurricanes, I guess.

Actually, it never snowed when it gets REALLY cold. The air doesn't hold enough water. The best time for snow is when its its just below freezing. Just bebow 0 degrees celcus.

Actually, yeah, I remember Aaron Bizarre telling me that about snow.

Also, snow is a lot easier to drive in than water. The only problem about driving in snow is the other drivers. You get these ****ers that forget you have to slow down a little bit and they cause trouble for the rest of us.

Allison

Yeah, but after a hurricane, we get out the kayaks and row down the street.

yeah but if you're dealing with snow then, chances are, you're also dealing with ice. and ice is 10X harder to deal with than both snow & water.

Nope. Most of the time snow becomes all slushy and then melts without ever becoming ice. I used to drive an old ass 1985 BMW (rear wheel drive) with no problem in the snow, I rather drive in the snow that when the streets are flooded.

I've lived in NJ for almost 20 years. Snow and ice is not that bad. You just have to be careful. Flooding is far worse.

EDIT:Oh yeah, what Bub said too.

that's just what happens to most of the SNOW. there's still very high chances of getting ice patches. especially in the morning. which is the worst sitch because you're gonna get caught off guard.

True, but like I said, you just gotta be careful and you'll be alright.

Not if the street is flooded. Then you can't drive at all.

I actually handled driving in snow and ice pretty well.

Because you hadn't done it before on a regular basis. You kenw to slow down and becareful. The worst drivers in cold weather are people that are used to it. They don't slow down and give themselves extra time to adjust. Thoses are the ****ers you need to watch out for.

Spanish TV networks are crazy in general. Just look at some of the most viewd programs:

Sabado Gigante- 3 hour game show

Domingo Sensacional- 6 hour music and talent show

El Chapulin Colorado y el Chavo del 8- A show about a stupid super hero and a show about an orphan that lives in a barrel.

Any "Novela"!!!!
