Well, Joe Rogan only likes 3% of the MMA population...

90% of the fans will like Lyoto now... since he is champion. Otherwise, they really dont give a **** about his style. Then when/if he screws up. 50% of that 90 will jump ship. And if he gets another loss 30% of that 50 will jump ship and he will have the same fan base as when he first started. While the rest continue to think he is boring. :dunno:

Well said Rogan, well said.

I think "bipolar" is a better description for Machida (who I have been wanting a title shot for for a long time, and am so happy that he won). He plays it so cautious and evades so well, but as soon as you let yourself in his range he unloads on you, and if his first or second strike hurts you, he's swarming all over you in an instant.

Machida is the most boring fighter in UFC. I hope Rampage rushes him and puts him in a coma. The crowd weren't even watching.

It's called being an intelligent fighter. If you want him to stand in front of his opponent and throw a ton of punches, go watch Chris Leben. The crowd sure as hell was watching when he tossed Rashad around like a ragdoll and knocked the grey matter out of his head with ridiculous precision. The Buffalo Wild Wings I was watching the fight at sure as hell got loud when he landed that headkick. I'll take incredible skill and precision over volume any day of the week. And you should get used to it because he's going to be wearing that belt for a long time, unless he moves up to fight Lesnar like he mentioned at some point.

I'm a big fan of Rampage dating back to the first time he beat Liddell, or maybe before that, I don't really remember... But I don't think he has the skillset to beat Machida. He's not a particularly smart fighter and even though he has awesome power, I don't think he'll find a target against Lyoto. In terms of physical strength, Machida is superior - probably as a result of training in sumo since a young age.

That being said, Machida vs Rampage would be my two favorite LHW's going at it.

Nah, **** that bro. Dont make it seem like Rashad was treated like a rag doll. He was enduring while rocked. He showed alot of heart. Most people just curl up and go to sleep that way. Rashad was trying but was just hit by that left.

The lightbulb can only crack so much before being put out.

Now watch Rashad's fan base drop faster than stocks during black sunday.

I like Evans, I still think he is one of the most underrated fighters around. He is by far in the top 5 list within the Light-heavies.

Evans showed the type of heart you rarely see in any weight class let alone LHW. Machida and his style was just too much for Evans last night.

I didn't mean to imply that he just rolled right through him, but despite Evans' display of courage, once he was rocked he essentially did get tossed around. I give him a lot of credit for fighting back from that, as well as surviving the first mini-onslaught that Machida brought to him when he hurt him earlier in the round. But Machida had complete control of him simply due to his ridiculous physical strength. It would've been interesting to see how a ground battle would've played out, considering how well-versed Machida is on the ground and how good a wrestler Rashad is.

Machida did roll thru Evans. Machida took maybe 1 shot?

I have never liked Evans, so it was good to see him get KTFO
His style doesn't bother me, he gets the job done.
