I have been wondering this for sometime now, help me out or just place some thoughts that you too have been wondering.

If a blind man or woman is born blind, do they dream?
If they do dream, do they see images?
If they do see images, can they see colors?
How would they know what color is what?
Ex: Red, how would they know how red looks?
How do they picture humans?

Good questions...I've wondered that myself a lot. Unfortunately I don't have the answers.

Here's something that I've been wondering for a while: why were all cars until not that long ago rear wheel drive? Not only is it worse than front wheel, but it seems to be a hell of a lot trickier to do, since you have to build the driveshaft all the way under the length of the car. Why do more work for something that isn't as good?

I thought about it, but try this one on. How did God begin?

Also when one thinks when think in words, right?

Well if a baby doesn’t know words, does he or she think?
Besides crying how do they know when they are hungry, or does it just hurt them or what?
Do they go by instinct?

It's instinctual. A baby can not process complex thoughts. About the God question, I'm a pm CITA, maybe he knows. I smoke weed :)

The connection between thoughts and language is increbily hard to figure out, and it's also fascinating.

Babies develope the capacity to speak a language inexplicably quickly. Before that, they probably rely more on images and sensations. I think they can form a concept of, say, hunger, that they relate to various sense information, but that has not yet developed into a "word", some anything else having to do with language.

I always wonder what life would be like today if:

Dinosaurs didn't die off
The Germans won WWII
Jesus' life had been spared

I also wonder about this: If Jesus were on earth today, walking amongst everyone, and he claimed to be Jesus...would anyone listen? I don't think so, we'd probably just call him a crazy *******. Hell, CITA might be Jesus. :p I wonder if he is in fact on earth.

If dinosaurs hadn't died, they would've been killed off by man. If the germans won WWII, the globe would look like the one Leguizamo saw in The Pest. If Jesus' life was spared, we'd all be doomed.

You really think some cavemen could have killed off the creatures which ruled the world with an Iron fist?

Haha that would suck if we had a bunch of gay Germans who had an affinity for snakes controlling the world.

Why would we be doomed if Jesus' life had been spared?

Not cavemen, imperialistic europeans, the kind that made America. ****toe would be dictator (Sounds pretty gay, huh?). If Jesus was alive, then he couldn't die for our sins.

if Jesus die for ours sins, why do people go to church? What does that mean, "he die for our sins"? Does that mean that we are all saved?

There is a great book called "the enchanted world of sleep" it answers so many questions. Its purly scientific but surprising fun to read. Although, it doesn't address blind people dreams it does talk about:
-How they proved that ANIMALS DREAM (monkeys at least)
-The book talks about studies of where they kept a guy awake for like a week and how with the right amount of light it is IMPOSSIBLE to sleep
-The also discuss two people in recent history that needed only 15 min of sleep a 24 hr day. Let me rephrase that, not needed, felt fully rested after only 15 minutes in 24 hours their whole life!
-things like how geese can fly for days without stopping except to drink or eat
-what the hell do dolphins do (sitting still would make for an easy target)

Again, The book doesn't address blind people, however, I'm sure they do dream feelings much in the same way that synesthesist somehow translate sounds or feelings into mental images or ....get this sounds into smells.

I remember once for Psychology Class we had an exam, in which I did very well, the only question I missed was one that the teacher asked “Is it a fact that all living thing dream”? I put down False, the correct answer was True but when I address the teacher about plants not being able to dream, then she change the question, I explain to her that the question was “Is it a fact that all living thing dream”? She didn’t give me 100 so I took it to the Dean (normally wouldn’t give a ****, but had to prove the teacher wrong. I was the only one in class that made a 100.
