View Full Version : Thoughts on Fury? smellmycheese 05-23-2009, 03:39 PM Was fairly impressive tonight, still very green and naive but showed real strength and success with the jab and those body shots packed some power. Napalm Death 05-23-2009, 04:14 PM im still waiting for price ro fight again. i want him to fight fury. it could be called "DAVID vs GOLIATH" ophqui 05-23-2009, 04:14 PM exactly, he looks convincing now, against nobodies, and i think he could take chisora, sexton, or rogan within the next couple of fights and do well, but my gut says he'll never be world level, or particularly close to it Blairhoyle792 05-23-2009, 04:16 PM like I said in previous thread, he should aiming for Sam Sexton next. Special K 05-23-2009, 06:13 PM It was an impressive win that will scare the other domestic guys out there. I'm tempted to say he should take his time given his youth, but the guy is going to take a lot of holding back. Chisora doesn't fancy it, and I doubt Williams or Sexton will either. Maybe Fury should go stateside!? He reminds me of Riddick Bowe in style and physique. Leakbeak 05-23-2009, 06:58 PM Williams will fight anyone! He is a throwback, lol. i don't think he has anyone running scared. I think him and Price are both like Roman Greenburg. They look good and are well hyped V bums but when they step it up to world or european level they will probably get KO'd Ogecca MaMa 05-23-2009, 07:02 PM nothing special. no disrespect but this guy won't go far againt decent boxers iBox 05-23-2009, 09:06 PM I liked his jab but his body shots were a bit wild, and he didn't throw much else. Leakbeak 05-23-2009, 09:13 PM Does anyone have a video of his debut? Clegg 05-23-2009, 09:59 PM Another decent showing tonight. I think his biggest problem is that he doesn't look that comfortable when his opponent is throwing punches. His movement and D meant that he avoided/blocked almost all of his opponent's punches, yet still he seemed a bit uneasy at certain points. The likes Rogan, Skelton, Williams and McDermott would probably grind him down for a TKO win. Having said that, he may well be able to handle the kind of tough, gruelling fight that all of them would offer. Whether or not he can compete at domestic level will depend upon how he copes (physically and mentally) with being put under heavy pressure by someone who won't go down as easily as his previous opponents have. Chisora is a good fight for him, as is Scott Gammer. The best thing for him right now would be an opponent who can take him the distance, just so that he gets used to it and we see how his stamina is. Dem Eyes 05-23-2009, 10:36 PM I think he could beat McDermott. Hieu 05-23-2009, 10:52 PM decent but hey come on...he can improve himself :D gingeralbino 05-24-2009, 05:00 AM he's got a good fast jab, belshaw's body must be made of glass though. I dont think there was that much power in those body shots. Hard to tell what he's like going on that fight. All u can do against poor opposition is blast them out of there and he did. I'll hold back judgement until he stpes up. Plenty of time, he's only 20, pro for 6 months, 6 fights 6 wins. Doing the right thing fighting as regulary as he can at this stage. Definatley worth keeping an eye on, and doubt Fury will let us forget about him, he's got a big mouth, hope he can back it up, I'm liking him more and more with each interview, he's a funny bastard. |
