Main event have brushed aside 3 big fights for a stupid heavy weight fight that no one cares about.Valueve vs chagaev 2. Please who the F..k cares about that fight when mainevent could have atleast put on cotto vs clottey , pavlik vs mora or haye vs Klitschko. I think setanta have the rights for haye vs Klitschko but the other 2 are more worthy of 39.95 than Valueve vs chagaev 2 what a disgrace.

It is obviously just that it is costing them nothing to put those horrible fights on. I am guessing that the rights to Chagaev-Valuev would cost pretty much nothing.

Yeah ur right.Alot of fights we pay for here u dont in the states.
An example is the kostya V mitchell 2 was free in the states but we were slogged $40 bucks. Its a joke, no wonder their arent that many boxing fans in Aussie. It also makes its harder for kids to get into boxing because of the price the parents have to pay.
Which in turn makes it harder for us to have a world champion boxer from here.
If boxing really wants to lift its profile not just here but overseas, they must put some of these fights on free to air.

I know it's been tried before, but perhaps we can try raising the issue with them.

Can hardly blame main event, Cotto/Clottey would probably cost 10 times as much as this bout but would most likely sell no where near that.

In reality most Australians don't want to pay for any boxing or would even be interested in switching over from their South Park repeats to watch it if it were free. Main Event is a business and at the end of the day they're not going to be putting expensive bouts on if no one's going to buy them.

Main Event (FOXTEL) really don't give a ****. For starters half of the fights that they Screen should just be on regular FOX SPORTS. Honestly I'm over Main Event. I don't buy PPV anymore the picture quality is terrible in 4x3 and it's never the HBO Broadcast so you need up missing out on a lot of coverage, instead you get the watch the empty ring for about 20mins while Bob talks about Bull****.

It was probably cheaper then the other two?

Plus, they probably thought 'ohhh heavyweight fight, everyone loves heavyweights....right?'

i just sent some feed back to mainevent and told them how embarrasing some of the fights they have on PPV are. As long as they make money the bastard would put whatever they like on PPV. Screw MAINEVENT

I think they will eventually have it.Sometimes it takes them a while to finalise arrangements.
