I will never make a statement like he would knockout Willy Pep or say something crazy like Azumah Nelson would quit on his stool. I'm a boxing fan. And as a boxing fan, I enjoy fighters with heart and exciting styles. I've been a Trinidad fan since I could remember. I'm also a Klitschko fan. But I'm not going to say some crazy line like Hopkins fears Trinidad or that Vitali would stop Ali. But there are some people who just because of nationalistic pride, put all their faith in their countries best fighter and say all these crazy statements to try and encourage themselves and make their fighters look bad. I bet Tito's thinking "The f**k I want with Hopkins? Don't put my name in there. He's fighting Eastman. Give me my f**king flag Don before I kick your ass." I say if you're a fan, be a fan. But don't disgrace the names of your favorite fighters by saying all this crazy stuff and discrediting them. Love, peace, and hair grease.

I don't follow the Vitali threads anymore because it's the same thing. One side thats ridiculaously pro-Vitali, the other a bunch of haters who make up these fantasy fights that would get Vitali killed. Anything to do with Zab Judah, Mike Tyson, or The Klitschko's I generally avoid.

I have much respect for all fighters I feel deserve respect. I remember someone once dismissed my statements regarding Morales before the "El Famoso" fight because he claimed I was a Morales fanatic. I told him "Nah, I'm a flip ass Pacquiao fan", and he called me a racist! It's a double edged sword, but it doesn't really matter. I just try to put myself out there as a guy who knows what he's talking about and get my respect that way.

I agree, the guy is a total hypocrite and he doesn't even know it.

It's human nature for people to want to stick up for their particular race, countryman, or fighter when he's on full blast. I have defended fighters I like but I also try to keep it real and evaluate the situation. You will never see me make a ludicrous comment such as, "James Toney should be a top 10 P4P guy all time" or anything, but I'd like to think my fighter can debunk some of the things people say aren't possible for him (becoming HW champ in this case). It's like this with any sport...you stick up for your team when it's being attacked and disected by people who believe they own the only right opinion.

Nice topic though Asian...its rare to see people who can be completly unbiased in their opinions when it comes to nationalistic matters. That's what boxing is really...a chance for a given nation to back their guy in full against another nation/state/country etc.

It's all good. I like CITA, he's a good guy. I just don't like some of the things he says.

At his peak, Wlad would have blown this bum out in 4 rounds or less. He won the fight cause it was stopped on cuts, and he only managed a split descision win. I remember you said Chris Byrd would stop Wladmir because Wladmir lost all his confidence on a thread talking about Byrd's power. OK, CITA answer these questions:

1. Would Chris Byrd be able to turn the tables on Wladmir in a rematch? (We all saw what fighting Byrd can do to a fighters confidence i.e. Andrew Golata and Jameel McCline.)
2. What kind of power does Byrd have?

His next fight will most likely be against Whitaker because Toney and Rahman are going for the WBC, WBA and IBF belts instead. I don't really see that big of a difference. How about pointing out where you he think that he was worried about getting KO'd.

I didn't really see it that way. Besides the KD, I thought he took TOS's punches much better than he has in the past. For example, if you have Wlad v. Barrett watch the 4th round and see Wlad's reaction to Barrett's counter left hook. I didn't see anything like that happen during the TOS fight.

Get over yourself, and get over your knowledge. Your an amateur and your a teenager, you do not have as much boxing knowledge as "anyone" your not even a pro, or a legal adult. Boxing is all about educated opinions, boxing is a subjective sport, and is based on judges and opinions, to value your teenage opinion as much as someone who has been watching it before you were born is foolish.


The moment you start touting how much knowledge you have, your head begins to swell, rather than grow. Its better to listen to others, and see how your opinion matches up with theirs, and make an educated opinion from there. Not simply talk about how much knowledge you have and lack the ability to step back, forget your own knowledge for a minute, and listen to someon else.
