i was listening to Liquid Swords today and everytime i listen to it i like it more. Its undeniably a classic, and at least a top 10 album all time to me. Im gonna give a slight edge to the Gza...I dont think theres ever been an mc as clever as him.

Complex? Probably GZA

Who's overall the better rapper? Nas.

Just my opinion though. I bump both of em.

-My fast ass chose Nas by mistake...

smh @ myself for not knowing that lil wayne song :smh:

nas is the better rapper because...hes basically the king of concepts, hes the best rapper ever with them concept songs. **** like Project windows, what goes around, i gave you power, and rewind...thats what makes nas top 3 all time.

And i have no problem with anyone saying that Liquid swords is the best album ever, its really that good. Wu-tang has taken over my top 5 albums of all time

1. nas - illmatic
2. ghostface - ironman
3. raekwon - only built 4
4. mobb deep - the infamous
5. gza - liquid swords

I'd say GZA. He's complex in a manner that we can all figure out. On the other hand, Nas is complex to the point that you realize alot of what he says is just thrown together (not all). Love both MC's, but Nas turns me off alot of times when saying the wrong thing on a different subjected song.

One quick question, how come I see ALOT of Wu fans on this forum???

Gza takes the cake on this one, and i am a huge Nas fan.

based solely on lyrics, Gza would undoubtedly be in ever credible top 5, no doubt. his weakness is in his delivery and lack of energy. lyrically though, no one can really touch him. not even Nas.

good post...i think that liquid swords was the only album gza had where his delivery was consistently flawless, but as dope as he was lyrically on his newest album (pro tools) his delivery and flow were non existent. And he never really did have much energy.

yeah i think that if his delivery were up to par then he would be the best member of Wu Tang. but it would be near impossible to top Ghostface, the undeniable master in that department.

He isn't complex relative to this conversation, but he isn't just completely on the surface like a lot of other rappers that could be named.

GZA is more complex than Nas but Nas is more poetic.
