So what's next for him??
The fight with Silva will probably never happen so what else does he have to prove?
After he beats Liddell again who's left? Someone new needs to step up in the #205

there's no one like nogueira at 205 that is a threat to him with submissions
his only match in wrestling is randleman
the only better strker he hasn't fought is silva

The problem is all the fights for him are with people currently under contract with PRIDE.

That's if he gets past Silva in October. But I'd like to see that one as well. It'd be interesting to see if Randy can dirty box with Rampage or Silva for that matter. Both guys are dangerous in the clinch, and I believe they'd have a good shot at beating Randy.

I think Randy would own both those guys. He's just the best 205 lb guy there is right now. He'd keep both silva and rampage on their backs. There's nobody big and strong enough to GnP him and no one skilled enough to submit him at that weight. Arona would give Randy a tougher time than Rampage or Silva and Randy would still win.

I agree 100% Arona would probably be the toughest test.....

I got a challange for Randy... Provide me with a fight that doesn't make me want to go to bed. Bring back Rizzo and hope that an encounter like their first fight occurs.
Silva will win. Be it KO or sub, it doesn't matter, because he will win. Other than Pride guys there aren't too many interesting fights out there for Couture. Need a great sub guy @ 205 in the UFC.

Silva isn't dumb enough to clinch with Randy. He knows Randy would go for a takedown the second he thru a knee and if he tried to dirty box Randy wouldhave the advantage.
Silva would need to fight Randy like Pedro Rizzo did in thier first fight. Leg kicks, sprawl, punish, repeat.

Of course Silva isn't going to be looking to clinch with Couture. I think you misunderstood what I was trying to say. Randy can and will be able to close the distance and get the clinch. What happens when they do clinch is what I'm interested in seeing.

Couture is the best in the cage... Look at his highlight vid, it looks like a repetition of the same move. A lot of people are gonna disagree with me on this one, but Couture's fight just works in the cage; he jabs crosses and inmediately goes for the clinch, pin against the cage and leg trip or underhooks.
Outside of the cage I don't see him dominating people so easily.
