ESPN appears to be having a double header in February featuring Antonio Margarito VS. Manuel Gomez and Kermit Cintron VS. Jorge Lujan. If and that is a big If Margarito gets by Gomez then that sets up the first ever ESPN PPV event with Cintron and Margarito facing eachother.

So, what do ya'll think?

For now, I for one am gonna pick Margarito by decision.

Margarito dominates Cintron in my book.

Cintron chin hasnt really been tested and Margarito will crush it, I have no doubts about that. I dont think Cintron has a lot of skill defensively and that will cost him...

In closing, This fight is going to be nothing but a slugfest.

Cant Wait!

It will be a good fight no matter what happens. Margarito-Gomez is gonna be a scorcher too.

the last time we saw cintron his stamina was'nt to great, he's gonna get blown out by margarito at welterweight imo.

I dunno. Cintron got tired against Reid because he was throwing so many punches. That said, he STILL kicked Reid's ass.

I'm going against everyone else and picking Cintron to win by KO. Daniel Santos, who doesn't hit as hard as Cintron, rocked Margarito's world 3 or 4 times in their last fight so I think Cintron will KO him. If he can't KO him by the 6th round look for Margarito to KO Cintron as he gets too tired.

PRboxingfan picking Cintron......wow. I am so shocked. My head REELS at the implications.

I dont see how this fight could go all the way, someone will get KO'd I hope, but I think Margarito can pull it off

Margarito's best weight right now is 147 and he showed that he has power and ability at 154 by rocking Santos many times...not to mention that Santos came into that fight at like 170. I think Margarito is simply frightening at 147 and will expose Cintron's weak defense by brutal KO in 8 rounds.

margarito by savage and devastating ko in the 5th round, cintron will be biting off more than he can chew here, he would be better off fighting spinks than margarito, reid hit cintron alot and he has looping wide shots, nobody goes to the body like margarito, he will take the legs from the young cintron and then knock his goddam head off with an uppercut

I think the edge slightly goes to Margarito. Only slightly.

I think people are being a bit hard on Cintron. He did very well agaist Reid. The same ppl were saying he would never get past Reid....Cintron beat Reid up, then KOed him in fine fashion. Reid did what he does best, fight hard....but he lost, decisively.

Yeah, yeah...I gave my honest opinion. Cintron will rock Margarito (whom I consider a beast and love to see him fight) in the first few rounds but if he can survive the 6th then the tide turns to his favor. I don't think his chin will take the punishment handed out by the brick-fisted Cintron. That being said, Cintron won't take what Margarito has to offer past 7 rounds, either. It's a matter of who hits whom harder first. I'm picking Cintron because I believe the fight won't go past 4.

Interesting. When has Cintron ever really been hurt? Your implying that he has a weak chin....which fight?

About stamina, he drains too much to make 147lbs....you may be right.

in his last fight who was against a guy who didnt hit hard..he was rcoked quit a bit...thats why hbo-critics and fans believe his chin may not be as good as it would be at say 154

I say it's gonna be a war, but Margarito's whirl wind style against a fighter who will stand and trade is simply good for Margarito. Margarito will stop him in 5.

Teddy Reid dosen't hit hard? Thats a first. Reid is a good puncher that throws at odd angles, he has never been accused of having feather-fists. Rocked? He got hit flush a couple of times and took a few steps back....as every fighter does when hit by a guy who can punch.
