View Full Version : Office Salsa...?
The Mouse 08-12-2004, 02:02 PM So I’m in my office and I hear some ladies making some commotion across the way, so I get up and walk over to ‘em. Two other ladies are dancing salsa with eachother while the other one is sitting at her desk, playing this Cuban-salsa CD from her computer. Then the one sitting down says, “Oh Matthew!! You’ve taken salsa lessons before, show them how to do it!!” So I start dancing with each of them, then realized my boss is due back any minute, so now I’m back in my office eat’n a steak that I just micro-waved.
Now I’m thinking this is the type of **** you see in some coffee-commercial.. you know, some corny office scenario that would never happen in real life. Well it just ****in happened and now I’m in shock that I don’t appreciate it as I always thought that I would whenever I see those types of commercials. At least I have a steak... but these women did move their bodies damn good, even though they’re 15-20 years older than I am. You ever heard of something like this happening in an Office-Space environment?
Mr. Beelzebub 08-12-2004, 02:06 PM I used to play soccer and have push up contests working at AGFA.
Tang God 08-12-2004, 02:10 PM Merengue>salsa

As I hispanic male who can dance either one of those (without the need of lessons, BOOM) I can tell you that even though Merengue is a lot easier to dance and it might look flashier in its moves, Salsa is by far a classier dance. Therefore Salsa > Merengue.
Allison 08-12-2004, 02:18 PM I dance merengue when I'm too drunk too dance salsa and want to be confident that I won't fall down with my dress over my head.
Mr. Beelzebub 08-12-2004, 02:24 PM Come to NYC, I'd take you to Copacabana... It's like that movie with Vanessa Williams and that boricua guy... You start dancing with me, and you end up either on stage or waaay on the other side of the dancefloor dancing with Pepe or Jose.

Yeah, Mana and el Tri are the shiznit. I am South american, so I listen to a lot of Argentinian rock like; Enanitos Verdes, Los Fabulosos Cadillacs, Fito Paez, Los autenticos decadentes, etc.
And no, I am not a big fan of cumbias. I basically love Salsa and Rock en Español the most, but I will dance to anything.
Allison 08-12-2004, 03:06 PM I like Los Fabulosos Cadillacs, too.
I only have one of their CD's, though.
I get forced into the mexican music at home alot.
Mr. Beelzebub 08-12-2004, 03:16 PM Soda Stereo is a good group too, if you like the Cadillacs you will like them.
Allison 08-12-2004, 03:20 PM I've never heard of them at all.
Leather 08-14-2004, 10:09 AM FLAMENCO OWNS!!! That's all...
