If you think about it. God created man in his own image. When satan would not bow down to man God sent him to hell. The reason satan is so pissed off is because he is so far away from God. It sound like a break up between lovers to me. I can just picture satan in hell listening to linkin park or some other emo band crying into a picture of God.

Hypothetically speaking, it would make more sense that they are two sides of the same coin. Opposites, Light and Dark, Positive and Negative, Creator and Destroyer, Yin & Yang, etc.,etc.,etc. One can't exist without the other because they define each other. Light without darkness would be meaningless because there would be no basis for comparison. They need each. They're patnas.

I think it's more of a metaphor for love. The greatest pain you can have is to be away from the person you love right. Satan loves god so much that he bring pain to the rest of the world because they get to be with him.
