View Full Version : Biggest Uk promoter In 5 Years Time...
The Clash 05-15-2009, 04:34 PM With ricky hatton this week talking about promoting in association with golden boy...
im just wondering who is our pick to be in pole position leading the uk boxing promotions business years from now....
who's your pick .....?
who will be leading the uk boxing promotions in 5 years time ?
adietheforestfa 05-15-2009, 04:38 PM Mick Hennessy will certainly be the fattest.
Infern0 05-15-2009, 05:18 PM I think Hayemaker will be.
SuperKing 05-15-2009, 05:25 PM Unfortunately I'll have to go with Warren. He's got some talent coming through,
Warren. He's got the experience, and a good stable coming through. However, Hatton could sneak in the back door with Oscar helping him out.
Sick/ 05-15-2009, 07:28 PM Joe Calzaghe
Brian13 05-16-2009, 05:31 PM Tough one but Maloney has the best Olympians and Hayemaker have a nice group of fighters so they will do very well in the next few years. Warren will also be up there but may not be the biggest because I think some of his prospect will not go that far.
Dem Eyes 05-16-2009, 05:33 PM I hope it's either Hatton or Hayemaker promotions. I hope that they pick up good, young talent and promote them all. Facing European opposition early in their careers and ending up in America in their mid twenties.
Leakbeak 05-16-2009, 06:11 PM Maloney is the best bet to take over Warren, as he has already dealt with big names such as Lennox Lewis. I wish Sutherland meets Degale down the line againa and bangs him out. he's beaten him a few times alreayd and looks like he is suited to the pro's more
Blairhoyle792 05-17-2009, 11:32 AM Ricky Hatton for me.
Sparked_1985 05-17-2009, 06:49 PM Definetely not Calzaghe, no offence but concentrating primarily on welsh talent is cutting off your nose despite your face. Joe Calzaghe IS the Welsh talent. They've already had a bill scrapped.
Warren is too experienced.
Chunk. 05-19-2009, 09:39 AM Frank Warren pays the most, so he'll have the best fighters in his stable unfortunately.
Savino 05-19-2009, 10:23 AM hayemaker. there shows have been successes and got some great young fighters comin through.
Patty Tanager 05-19-2009, 12:30 PM Can't see Hatton Promotions or Calzaghe promotions being very big to be honest. I'd say Warren but i believe Hayemaker Boxing will become clear 2nd.
Dragon Punch 05-19-2009, 04:59 PM 1) Warren
2) Hayemaker
3) Hatton
ironalex 06-12-2009, 07:04 AM no way hayemaker, setanta going down-hayemaker promotions fked. plus david haye pulling out of fights, and with hennesy having only 10 shows left with itv, they all arn't going to be top. warren will be top, hatton second. maloney is not gonna be no top british promoter regardless what he says, hes a big time promoter with a small hall mentality-all he cares about is ticket sellers...hes to short term money minded rather than long term, thats why he won't be top promoter in britain, plus...hes got two old men as his top prospects and isn't moving them along quick enough.
arcyannnni 06-12-2009, 09:09 AM I think Hattons will fall face first.
Even though I don't like it I voted for Frank Warren.
ironalex 06-12-2009, 10:23 AM nah they got some good talent coming through, plus are putting on plenty of shows as well as having ties with golden boy promotions.hayemaker will be the first to fall
FreshPrince 06-15-2009, 03:00 PM Is there any chance a UK promoter gets an ITV deal to have boxing on the network for next year?
boxingp4p 06-15-2009, 03:53 PM no way hayemaker, setanta going down-hayemaker promotions fked. plus david haye pulling out of fights, and with hennesy having only 10 shows left with itv, they all arn't going to be top. warren will be top, hatton second. maloney is not gonna be no top british promoter regardless what he says, hes a big time promoter with a small hall mentality-all he cares about is ticket sellers...hes to short term money minded rather than long term, thats why he won't be top promoter in britain, plus...hes got two old men as his top prospects and isn't moving them along quick enough.
true mate. Hayemakers fuked now. Hennesys best fighter are in their thirties.Warren will be in control for now.
Mugwump 06-16-2009, 07:16 PM I think Frank Warren's slowly heading the way of Mickey Duff. He's old school, putting young fighters through 30+ bouts before they get a sniff of a serious title shot. Hayemaker and one or two other promoters have completely dismantled this overinflated model and young fighters now have the opportunity to fight at world level whilst they're on their way up to prime rather than coming back down.
It's great to see this happening. Warren and his associates have cheated and milked British fight fans for years. I'm sure the three kids he recently signed up from the amateurs won't stay with him for long. Not if they've got any sense.
NorvernRob 06-17-2009, 08:57 AM Sports Network has gone into administration after losing the Calzaghe case.

oldhammad 06-17-2009, 11:48 AM Unfortunately it will be Warren. However, if Hayemaker Promotions can come up with a few more tricks like the decapitated Klitschko's t-shirts then we may get a surprise...
