They told me initially that I wasn't going to be able to get the date of my daughter's custody hearing off, despite not calling out once in 7 months, working 12 day shifts at their whim, and busting my ass to be the best in this center. I raised absolute hell. People here know what I'm dealin with. This group that does the scheduling, they're a real personable bunch. They're about as flexible as like ****in gargoyles. Even when I told them "this is custody of my daughter" (mind you, they're all women), I caught the "if we changed it for you we'd have to do it for everyone" line. This was all about 1:30, my lunch.

This just came through, 3:36pm

David -

Your schedule has been updated to reflect you working on Tuesday 9/7 and off on Thursday 9/9. Hopefully this resolves your situation.

Thanks a lot, hobag. I'm glad your ****ing conscious finally ate away at what soul you have left to such a degree that you saw past your own miserable life, and the need to impress it upon others.

They also tried to schedule me for the 4th. 9/4 = Projekt Revolution. Again, they bowed the **** down.

So basically, this thread was to state that today, I fought the ****ing man, and won. It's a good feeling. The best feeling is that when I leave this place today, I go right to a second interview with a multi-billion dollar technical staffing firm. If I'm even here to reap the benefits of ****ing those old vaginaflaps back, I'll be surprised. But the fact that they'd willfully put my job before my daughter after the job I've done for them... has me not wanting to do a god damn thing.

I think I'm gonna hang up on the next hindu that calls me.

Companies don't give a **** about employees lives outside the company...I have come to realise this myself in recent years.

Fact is, if you crack the ****s and walk out, there is a hundred other schmo's lining up to jump in your warm seat. Therefore companies don't need to give a ****, as long as your not the type that is likely to rig up a block of C4 on a pressure release switch to the executive toilet that is.

To someone that doesn't know him, Dave does sound black. The funniest thing is, that Dave is easily the paliest person you will ever meet.

In America, the employer needs to fear the employee. No other country does the employer run the risk of being shot by some dude with an assault rifle.

Except maybe in Iraq.
