Golden Boy Promotions sent out a curious press release this past Friday, regarding an important announcement to be made tomorrow Tuesday. The release seemingly confirms the buzz on the street regarding the evolving relationship between Oscar De La Hoya & Bernard Hopkins, one that will soon have Oscar promoting the undisputed middleweight champion. However the big questions to be answered tomorrow relate as to whether it is a single or multiple fight contract and possible opponent(s).

If “The Executioner” is now on the Golden Boy payroll, logic would lead you to belive that as an investor, De la Hoya would pair the Champion with the biggest and most lucrative fighters in the middleweight division today. This of course can only mean Felix Trinidad or fast rising contender Jermain Taylor. The prospect of Bernard Hopkins fighting Felix Trinidad for Oscar de la Hoya is entirely possible and could be a reality based on the announcement tomorrow.

I guess Bernard Hopkins was right when he said, "I'm the new Golden Boy."

People need to stop complaining about that body shot. And as for the news or maybe in this case rumor, I'm kinda empty for some reason. BTW, remember when a similar story was published regarding Pacquiao and Golden Boy?
