to ps3 owners... What format can ps3 plays? Like if I download a pal format movie, will the ps3 convert that to ntsc or do I have to convert that to ntsc before I play it on the ps3?

And was it a smart or stupid move for me to buy a refurbished ps3 for 100 bucks less because I'm a cheap skate? I bought it for like 318 bucks including the shipping... Some people tell me refurbished systems work better then non-refurbished since it supposedly fixes the problems that the original ps3 may have had before it was refurbished... But I don't know. I'm hoping my investment is a good one and I hope I enjoy the ps3.

the quality of the machine depends on how much it needed to be refurbished, due to the previous owner(example:physical damage, smoke damage, etc). 318 bucks is a sweet ****ing deal. May I recommend: Fallout 3, Metal Gear Solid 4 and Socom:Confrontation. Socom is amazing, in the way that I can play that game for 2 hours straight, and in between rounds, do the dishes, laundry, have sex, or eat a meal.

No, I bought it for the night fight night round 4 that I'm probably not going to like because I just pre-ordered it and I forgot the dumb ass creators forgot that 50/100 people don't like analog stick controls. And Resident Evil 5, because two of my xbox360s already broke so I can't deal with microsoft products.

You will need to convert the format.

As far as refurbished goes, I dont think I've ever had a problem. I've had a couple of refurbished mp3 players and I got a wireless router for the 360 thats working great. I wouln't buy refurbished without a short term warranty though. All you need is like 30 days, if theres a problem it will show up in the short term. After that it's a matter of wear and tear like anything else.

Got it, but weird thing is that I get feedback from it when I plug the 3 things into my tv... A weird buzzing noise... Is it because my tv is old and wasn't built for the system or what? I don't think its hurting the system but I hate the weird buzzing noise.
