View Full Version : For The Brits..
Dem Eyes 05-13-2009, 09:40 AM If anyone didn't know, Setanta are covering Cotto's fight in June and more recently, Valuev vs Chagaev on 30th May.
Undercard for Cotto vs Clottey;
Calderon vs Mayol
Rafael Guzman vs Yogli Herrera
Korobov vs ??
Jorge Diaz vs Guadalupe De Leon
Alberto Cruz vs Angel Rodriguez
Glen Tapia vs David Lopez
The undercard for Valuev vs Chagaev has a lot of fights on it;
Giuseppe Lauri vs Juho Tolppola
Cecilia Braekhu vs Amy Yuratovac
Denis Shafikov vs John Cotterill Jnr
Robert Helenius vs Scott Gammer
Lamon Brewster vs Juho Haapoja
Niko Jokinen vs Istvan Petroczki
Jarno Rosberg vs Viktor Szalai
Leonard Bundu vs Frank Shabani
Kali Meehan vs Cerrone Fox
I post this because last time I checked Setanta's listings on Boxrec, they only had Haye vs Wlad.
black.ink 05-13-2009, 11:04 AM I heard Cotto/Clottey would be on, but i didn't think it had been officiallised as of yet.
Also, i don't think anybody cares for Valuev/Chagaev no matter how many fights are on the undercard. I'm more interested in the Berto/Urango - Angulo/Cintron fightcard on the 30th May.
Any news if that will be Setanta'd?
it's a relief to see they can still afford to get the Cotto/Clottey bout
reckon they'll get the Mayweather/Marquez fight too? I doubt Sky will care seeing as there's no Brit involved

They didn't have Pac-DLH (idk if that means anything lol)

I think they should just start charging people for one-off PPV's like they do for the Australians if networks can't secure these fights.
Like £10 or something.
King_Krunky 05-14-2009, 11:57 AM It seemed last year Setanta had all the big fights, this year it feels like theyre slipping up! Whats going on!

No money.
Setanta took alot of risks without really having that much dough.

Sky will care even though no Brits are invloved, as Mayweather is quite big even in UK now after he knocked out Hatton. before that fight, many yobs down pub said Hatton was too good to be beaten and would beat this Mayweather bloke. When asked if they had ever seen him box, they replied they never heard of him! Most British casual fans have surely heard of him now and seen him on MTV Cribs

Hahaha, Mayweathers popular in the UK because he had a 5 minute piece on MTV Cribs.
Hahahaha, You are an EPIC FAIL son.
Davros? 05-20-2009, 08:23 AM Setanta have big money trouble.
Savino 05-20-2009, 11:36 AM Sky Sports have the Berto/Urango fight.
Setanta have Cotto/Clottley but this could be the big last fight they have. Setanta could be out of Business in next month or so.

Learn how to read, I said that was an additional reason. I said most of them have heard of him by now AND seen him on Cribs! And yes that 5 minute spot on MTV is watched by alot of people and means he is on the map. My primary reason for him being known in UK was because he beat Hatton. Track back and check. That has made him known here, and WWE (forgot to mention that one before) and MTV add a bit more to his celebrity whether you like it or not! They are both popular shows in the UK, maybe not for your generation but younger people for sure. Btw, with a username and sig like that you are in no position to call anyone an epic fail! Thanks for coming son
