but what he should be smacked down for was a piss-poor singing job.

there's a reason why that law was put into place...and that is to avoid the national anthem to be sung "unpatriotically"...

i didn't see any hint of unpatriotism the way martin rendered the anthem.....if they'll be making the law a "hard rule" (which i beleive there's a lot of loopholes in the law), then if somebody sung the anthem with a off-tune note, then they should've been charged as well...

martin sung it with no other reason than to uplift the filipinos in the fight, and he carries the nation behind his voice..he sung it proudly and people in the PI have the same sentiments when they heard martin sung it...

Agree.. sumabay lang sa popularidad ang iba.. kung ipenalize si papa martyr N. ..dapat yung iba rin before him..( meron ba?)
