I've been having BAD asthma attacks almost everyday for a couple of weeks so they put me on a bunch of new drugs. I was already taking albuterol, but now I'm on combivent, singular and 2 types of steroids, advair and prednisone. I hope they work, not being able to get enough air in my lungs is sapping my strength and making me like feel this :(


On a good note, the basil dressing on my salad is outstanding.

Also I went fishing again this weekend and caught a 4 foot sturgeon.

I bet you get all fat from the steroids. Then you really will have to pay for it.

That would suck. These steroids are just temporary though and they seem to be making me lose my appetite and amping me out. They're working though. My lungs feel pretty good. Also, I don't think these are that kind of steroid. They're cortisteroids or something.

Have you ever tried alternative methods to treating your asthma. I had it until I saw a chiropractor. I still have attacks, just not anything at all like I used to. :-)

No, but I have heard that acupuncture works well with asthma. I just happen to prefer a more western medical approach and throw drugs at any problems I might have.

Chiropractors seem like quacks at first, but they do a really good job and make you feel great.


They are like drug dealers. The first one is free, but you get hooked and have to keep coming back.

It would take more than one visit......if you felt better for a while, that shows that it would help you. The idea is to get adjusted and retrain your muscles and ligaments to stay in the correct positions. It takes time. I'm taking forever because I was in very sad shape. I had degeneration of the neck from sewing. I had the neck of a 50 year old....but it was caught before it fused that way permanently. I feel so much better than I did a year ago.

My biggest problem in making exercise a priority. If I did that, I'd go a lot less to the doc. I've been thinking of pulling out the bag and taking up kickboxing again.....
