I responded in another forum in a thread about the ufc and in general the whole mma scene. I copied it and here it is.
Which mma show is the most popular in the U.S?
I believe it is the UFC. (however I pick Pride as a better show).
Could the UFC be better?
Yes! As much as Pride, and all other mma events can be.
Is Zuffa or Dana bad for the UFC?
I say no. They are pushing out to the public, dvds as fast as they can. (which in turn means more public knowledge about mma).*Just today at Border's, they told me that UFC 47 would be available in August.
Bj Penn suing the UFC is bad for the sport?
nah, not even close. Whatever happens, happens. MMA will continue like it always has.
What helps the UFC and other mma shows?
All the mma websites. Without them, who would even talk about mma?
Will mma become mainstream in the US?
It will become like bodybuilding. I have read over the years about mma becoming mainstream. Hasnt happened yet, and I dont see it in the near future. But with all the mma websites and a huge fanbase, who knows?
This is my observation and I really hope that mainstream mma will become a reality.
