View Full Version : King Arthur.
The Mouse 07-22-2004, 11:34 AM So I was gett’n ready for the gym last night and there’s a knock on the door.. it’s one of my lady friends, (really hot), standing outside.
Me: “What’s up?”
Her: “The movie starts in 30 minutes, come on, I’m taking you out.”
Me: “But I, uh.. I gotta get dressed.”
(She walks into my damn house right passed me and goes towards my bedroom)
Me: “Talk about spontaneous, you taking me out on a date?”
Her: “Yup.”
(Then she picks out the clothes she’s already decided that I will wear.. as if she’s been planning this all day and gets her kicks out of springing this on me at the last minute.)
Isn’t this supposed to be the other way around? Ladies don’t usually treat me like a ***** that they can just call up whenever.. well they used to but it hasn’t happened in a while.. anyways...
So we go see “King Arthur,” good movie. Any of you seen it?

LOL...I asked my hubby out on our first date.....I wasn't quite as aggressive, but nonetheless...
Haven't seen the movie yet, but it's on my list to see.
Bluecifer 07-22-2004, 12:58 PM I'm skeptical of that movie. John Boorman's Excalibur was the best King Arthur movie EVA!!!
EVA!!!
The Mouse 07-22-2004, 01:00 PM King Arthur isn't really a "great" movie... but it was pretty cool and the fight scenes rocked. I'm really looking forward to the Phantom of the Opera more so than anything else.
Mr. Beelzebub 07-22-2004, 01:18 PM I'm skeptical of that movie. John Boorman's Excalibur was the best King Arthur movie EVA!!!

"First Knight" with Richard Gere and Sean Connery was an alright King Arthur movie... It was good even though Richie Gere was in it playing Lancelot.
handjobs4dollars 07-22-2004, 01:58 PM I love how everybody here seem to only know hot women.
Plus I think that knightly girls isn't that hot. She only had it going on in pirates because her tits were pressed up all the time.

NEVER compare this film with "Excalibur", "Excalibur" rules, the death of Arthur and Mordred is one of the best scenes I've never seen in a movie...
Mr. Beelzebub 07-22-2004, 02:09 PM Sean Connery as King Arthur kicked ass, man. I haven't seen Excalibur.
Note to self: Stop at blockbuster and pick it up.

Kempo Chris 07-22-2004, 02:32 PM I won't see it - the whole idea of Gwenivere being a warrior is ghey
And also
First knight was an awesome movie and I'm with Bub I will be picking up excalibur soon
I won't see it - the whole idea of Gwenivere being a warrior is ghey
I think that's a cool addition. I actually want to see this movie more because the three major characters kick ass.
The Mouse 07-22-2004, 03:36 PM The three of them do kick ass... but one of them dies, and two of them get married at the end. I'm not going to tell you their names because I don't want to ruin the movie for you, and I'm a nice guy.
Tha Playa 07-23-2004, 09:48 AM I didn't like it. The only part that was entertaining at all was the battle scene on the frozen lake.
ArjukanpoKarate 07-28-2004, 02:41 PM I just saw this movie last night and I was not really happy with it. I say for all you ppl who want to see it, save your 9.50 and wait till in comes out on DVD. Now I'm not say'n it was bad but it's just not like the other movies, they really have a different look on this faire tail.
