That game is so much fun me and my friends were playin the demo for like an hour... graphics are good and the gameplay is awesome.
The moves are kind of hard to pull off though

Then why take the time to comment?! The game is class and is a serious threat of overshadowing Fight Night round 4

They seem to change the smackdown controls every year for some reason, but I would say that UFC is pretty different.
There is a much wider variety of strikes. The 4 face buttons are the basic punches and kicks, then you can hold down L1/LB to do a strong punch or kick, and hold down L2/LT to go to the body.
On Smackdown, only one or two of the face buttons are used for striking I think.
The floor grappling is different as well. For example on UFC you push forward the right analogue to initiate a grapple when they are on the floor. Then you can try a submission, or ground and pound, or move to the side and try something from there. On Smackdown, you just press one button to do a submission, and then sometimes move the right analogue to apply pressure.
So I would say that they are pretty different. I have played Smackdown games for years but it didn't help much when I started playing the UFC demo.

The game seems pretty awesome so far. My only complaint is that there doesn't seem to be any head movement in the game. I'm so used to bobbing and weaving in Fight Night, that it's a little dissapointing with this game.

Yeah, that is pretty annoying.
The best way around it that I have found is to come forward with a hook to the body, because when you do that you duck down, so any punches/kicks will go over your head.
