In your opinion, why is it that more bloodshed has been claimed in the name of religion than that of any other cause? History book pages are drenched and consumed with blood from wars and feuds in the name of religion, the most brutal protests known to man have been in the name of religion, and to this day it has a major impact upon our society in whatever country you are in whether it be through media, propaganda, politics, pier influences, or work related issues.

The people need to believe in something "more powerful" than the politics and think that it's going to help them when they're alone or in troubles...

one word: zeal

it's the same reason why most the HUMANE acts in history have ALSO been in the name of a particular religion.

Some people need to be manipulated, religion is more or less the answer to an absurd life. Nobody likes to be food for the worms, but in the end that is what happens, unless you are cremated.
