How do they feel about Canada over there? I know there were some hard feeling after the Canadian Navy boarded a Spanish fishing ship because they were fishing illegaly. Do people still dislike Canada?

Again, very original. It could be worse though. America brought us things like George Bush and "reality" t.v. Before you go making fun of my country, maybe you should take a look at your own.

If I'm honest, we don't care about Canada, I see your country like a trourism target, the most part of us have forgotten the "Fishing trouble" and we have better feelings form you than USA...

I have to say that this forum has let me know another face of the "american pride"...

The "fishing trouble" was all the Spanish fishermen's fault anyways. They were stealing fish. European boats are always poaching fish in the waters off the Grand Banks. This kinda stuff severely angers us Newfoundlanders. The cod stocks are severely depleated from years of overfishing, and a good portion of the province is on welfare due to not being able to fish. Wouldn't you be pissed off if you were sitting at home, poor as dirt, while Europeans come over and steal our already depleated fish stocks? If it was me, I would shoot the bastards right in the head. ****ing thieves.

Yeah, the welfare rate in some parts of newfoundland is like 25% if I am not mistaken. A HUGE part of the economey in newfoundland is based on fishing. Having people from other countries fishing illegaly (in international waters or not) is something that would frost my nuts if it was costing me my job.

No problem, I'm with both of you...Here we have the same problem but "x100" times harder with Marrakech (?), you have to see how the andalusian and ohter communities families are living and fighting for this cause.
