Shad is a Canadian MC who is rarely known by the general public of the US.

Chances are you've never heard of this guy, but more people should....why? Because he makes great alternative hip-hop with excellent lyricism, that's why.

(old gringo) Another poster put me onto him, props for that, but this guy reminds me of Vakill. Not in a sense that he spits gang and drug raps, but the fact that he's dropped 2 near classics (his debut being a classic (coincidentally, same goes for Vakill).

i met him once at this club called The Drake. went up to him and was like, hey, you look like MC Shad. and he was like, that's because i AM MC Shad. i almost fell over. talked to him about hip hop for like 15 minutes until he got bored of me. he is obscenely talented.

awhile back and got addicted. I gave Old Prince a listen after that and was really feeling him as an artist. Good idea on the thread though...I like the "Get to know __________" concept.

That's crazy **** though, dope that he's a down to earth person (woulda guessed judging from his music lol), I have yet to meet any rapper/MC i listen to though.

Yeah, that's one of the best tracks off The Old Prince. I'm currently addicted though, his albums haven't left my Alpine for a week now lol. And thanks, I'm thinking on who's gonna be next.
